Exactly what I was planning on doing, but before that I might need a little assistance. Are there templates or such for getting the angles to much up? The first post just shows a straight shot, but because of the angle of the tail lights, I'm having issues stencilling the covers to match that. Any advice? I think I just spent about 2 hours trying to figure it out.nismogxs21 wrote:i actually think it would look pretty cool but i would make the tint really dark so the only thing you see it the red circles lit up

Because of the size of the area that covers the reflector, removing the tape showed any small deformities in the covering with the tape.
Maybe as a vinyl this will really work... Maybe.
Thanks again for all your help everyone.

So I still have the paint on both tail lights, and I ended up doing something similar with the turn signals. My reason? My roommate works in law enforcement, and he told me that while the brake lights and reverse is nice, more than likely impairing the turn signal will get you busted. What I ended up doing was taping off a small portion and just used Rubbing Alcohol to take off the paint... I'll send a picture when I get home.PHENOMenalVinyl wrote:Got bored and tried it lol. You gave me the idea so I vinyl Wrapped a Taillight today. Did it quickly as a test run, took an hour to do.
I want to change the circles to smaller and I'm going to cut it on a better surface to make better cuts. If this goes well I will be selling Vinyl Taillight cutouts for this job, or at least Vinyl and a Stencil Provided.
