nico is the only tab that's open for any extended periods of time. the only thing scammers are going to know about me is that i'm a sexually deviant, brown creeper.

This is wild. Obviously, they'd have to already have some kind of wares or bot on your PC to be able to do this in the first place, but building the botnet is the easy part.

So all those tabs on my browser might not actually lead to juicy jailbait p0rn, but to a scammer? Is nothing sacred?

Just check what you have open, people, thats all. Keep your system patched etc and you'll be less likely to be infected by something like that allows this to work.

Apple is just as bad and Linux is on its way down.

Everyone thinks that till they loose something they didn't know they cared a lot for.

Linux is on its way down where? It's already at the bottom, basically. The users it has are not likely to give it up anytime soon. Unfortunately, I don't think it'll grow too much larger, but I don't see it disappearing.

Ubuntu is decent for netbooks, and since netbooks are usually just used for browsing, its a worthwhile alternative.

I mean it has grown in such a way as to draw more Windows users to Linux, At least Ubuntu has. Ubuntu is the most popular Linux Distro.

According to Linus Torvald (Father of Linux), Linux has gotten too fat. (He means the core from which most distros are based off of. But the most popular software's are mostly the ones at risk and seeing as how Linux is so low on the pole I think its still far more secure than Windows.

I kid I kid.

As far as going down, I disagree. Ive been using Linux for nearly 2 years now, and it is constantly evolving. Even though I know that ,because I am in the minority, I am less likely to be targeted. I am still very cautious of where I go, and what I do online.

If nothing else, I love the fact that my laptop boots from dead off, to fully ready in like 20 seconds.
