S15 turbos are T28s. However, Garrett has recently relabelled them as a GT25 turbo due to frame structure. But, coloquially, they're T28s.

Second, search. I mean seriously. There are so many "what is a good turbo" threads out there, it's rediculous.

but IMO, the GT2871 will flow better and produce more power the S15 T28. Better technology and a larger frame.

Right...well now your going to get your first thread locked. So you better start reading up now cause 500hp isn't gonna build itself and neither of those turbos are capable of it. Goodluck, and learn from your first mistake.

On dah down lo keeeed shoot eye'z keepz it real.......hehe

These forums are for people to ask questions, but not to be consistantly flooded with repetitive questions like "what turbo should I get?" or "What engine should I swap?" You need to do your homework and decide what you feel suites your needs.

Garrett's site has good info on turbo basics. The GT2871 will support 500 crank hp, but it will not get you to 500 wheel hp. The most wheel hp I've seen an S15 turbo make is around 320ish, but the shop had built the motor and done some head work as well. 275-300whp is about the standard S15 turbo power I've seen, and a couple of members have hit 420+ wheel hp with a 2871, which translates to 525 crank hp with a 20% driveline loss. If you want 500whp on pump gas, you'll need to step up to a top mount and a GT30 frame most likely. Do lots of research before you start buying and building though. GL.

Now another question is...can I just jump right up to the GT30 (with supporting mods) or do I need to take a half step? Ya know, like do the GT2871 to see how the engine and drivetrain handles 350hp? I mean, Imma upgrade all that too but...And whats all this talk about money!? Nigga I gets money lol. Money is no prob. Holla

If you have the $, you can go right to the top, but you're going to have to do a lot more mods to the drivetrain (engine, trans, driveshaft, rear subframe re-inforcement, etc.) If you have little or no exp. driving very high hp cars, I do not recommend jumping straight up to 400-500+hp. You will only end up destroying the car and yourself/others. It's your call, but if I were you, I'd start with the 2871, do the supporting mods for it, and run very low boost until you get used to that power, and then turn the boost up, and so on.

To be honest with you.

I understand there is a freedom of speech but you really do not need to put the N word in any of your posts.

Talking the way you do is one thing and if no one is offended then that is ok I guess.

But please refrain from using the N word so much, its very tacky.

And i do not think it makes people want to help you out.

One Love,

Ghasty

PS: Gt2871R is going to get you more power, I do not know from experience but in a write up in Tuner magazine the stock T25, T28 and then the GT2871 were all tested to show what kind of gains you could expect from one another. Good Luck

Well, NICO is a privately owned and operated forum, that is open to the public for use. Since it is privately owned, they can dictate what types of images, words, language, etc. may or may not be allowed. I didn't even notice you had used the N word earlier, and I don't care that it has an A at the end instead of ER, it's still the same freaking word. Using it will probably get you banned instantly as NICO does not allow that type of language and since the site is not public property/space (privately owned/operated), it does not infringe on your free speech rights for them to censor/ban you. That may be the "way that you are", but if you want to be able to utilize one of the best online repositories of information for the 240sx and other Nissans, you might want to keep your posts clean and not use inflammatory words. Something to keep in mind for the future.

You sir are one of the worst acted people I have ever come across on the internet.

You disgrace those of us working hard to build a better reputation for tuners everywhere.

Put down the copy of Super Street, turn off Tokyo Drift and go out and learn what it is to be a productive member of society.

It saddens me that I share the same first name with this individual.

I vote ban until you learn proper English, manners, spelling, and forum etiquette.
