Anti turbo? Naw. I just realized that V8 drift cars are lame.

Anyway, found a picture of all the stuff in Keegan's basement. This is where the SR lives. It spends it's days living along side of a dual cam awaiting a rebuild, which will then supercharged, then put into a 2wd Hardbody. (The SR and all it's stuff is on the left)

YUP.

Luckily the spare block is the turbo block.

Unfortunately that block is going to need to be overbored due to scoring. Hopefully I can just get away with getting it honed.

So now I'm looking into getting another block to try and save some machine work/headache.

Oh, and these showed up today.

Hey for the spacers. you can cut the studs off so they fit. With the spacers I had, I could grind park of the stud off and still have plenty of room for them to bolt on properly.

Ha, thanks for reminding me. I pressed the studs out and am currently running the PBM 15mm spacers as slip ons, haha.

My buddy have 15mm slip on ichibas with extended studs, they snapped after about a week so I try to stay away from those

machine work will be better in the long run plus if you go to race crafters they do great work for cheap

Yeah I'm seriously considering Race Crafters.

So in other news... I'm just going to run the NA block with no oil squirters. I think my badass oil cooling setup that I'll be doing will be more than enough to compensate. Hell, the Sentra guys run NA blocks all day with 400whp and have no issue. :)

I know some KA single cam guys drill and tap the block and install the dual cam squirters.
You could try that if you want.

You know you want cooler pistons. :P

Yeah, I've also thought about that. Seems like it would be hard to line up perfectly, no? I could always have the machine shop do it but that's just more moneizzzz.

Yeah, I'll send it off in a little bit once I have a few more paychecks piled up.

In other news, I tore apart one of the trans' out of sheer boredom.

Shes puuuuuuuurty. I think I'm gonna use this one because my current trans is starting to act up.

Not totally sure yet. Keegan currently wants it for his next project. We'll see, though.

It'll get done, haha. It'll just take a long a** time.

I've got a lead on a 3rd SR block now... Who knows what'll happen.

Another rather small update... I've been foolish and bought something... Big. I bought a 34" vinyl plotter, so if anyone needs stickers done, lemme know. :)

But we bought a parts tumbler from Harbor Freight for $50 and seriously it's the best thing I've bought for parts. Basically you put "media" in it (they sell it there) it's basically little triangles and you just throw your hardware in there and leave it on overnight and it'll take any rust/corrosion off of hardware or anything you put in there. Only downside is that it removes that nice zinc finish on OEM bolts.
Image

Here's some stuff after about 3 hours in the tumbler.
Image

Now is when it gets fun. Throw some sand in that b**** for about 3 hours and behold the magic.
Image

I'm sure they would polish more, the longer you leave them in there. That's good enough for me, though. I've also gone over the random lines and wire-wheeled all of the previous corrosion off. Soaked some stuff in purple power, and it's come out rather nice. It's taking a long time, but I don't mind. I want to do this right and make it stupid clean.
