swap idea

V8 240sx? Sure! If either the chassis OR the engine is non-Nissan (i.e. SR20 in an RX-7 or LS1 in a 240sx), we've done it.

Well seriously... I come from a hot rod/ muscle car background. I've owned a Grand National, a '68 Mustang with a 289, and I currently own a '31 Model 'a' Ford with a 400" pontiac in it. I'm very open to new ideas and basically I like ANYTHING that goes fast. I do not prescribe to 'brands'. I think it's silly and closed minded. Experimenting with different cars, parts, and engines keeps things interesting. The idea that Dodge does not, and has not made anything of quality is ludicrous.

i like most everything... sb Chevy's, bb Pontiac's.... Fords... Japanese cars... European cars... i just don't like dodge. they rely so much on marketing. i have to give them that. the germans turned the company around as far as sales. but I've seen too many dodges crap out (even dds with relatively low mileage). i know from experience... its not brand loyalty.

Mitsubishi has always been my least favorite Japanese car company, i find it ironic that my least favorite american car company and my least favorite Japanese car company had a partnership at one time. (diamond star)

yes, people have made them fast... but i don't see quality in them.

sorry i didn't mean that as a shot at you, i didn't notice u even owned a Mitsubishi. new Mitsubishi's are alright, especially the evos. i was referring to the Mitsubishi's from the early 90s.

Hey if you like Pontiacs, listen to this. It's the 400 that I put in my model a ford. It was pulled out of a 69 LeMans. I totally rebuilt it. This was the first time I started it after installing some new hardware , including an old school Isky cam with a pretty wild grind. It still needs to be tuned (the timing was retarded about 6 degrees). The filming gets funky toward the end cuz my dad took the camera. Turn up your speakers!!!http://videos.streetfire.net/v...7.htm

sounds mean.

i agree. i like the bb pontiac in the ford, havent seen that before.

my uncle actuall has a 78 (i believe thats the year) lemons can-am with a 400 in it.

ive got a friend that putting together a 455 pontiac to go in a 80 trans am.

ive never had the pleasure of working on a pontiac bb, you dont see many of tehm anymore.

bb pontiacs are cool, but the parts selection is prety low. they just never cought on like the sbc did.
