Up until yesterday I had an s14 that I had done most of the work on by myself in my garage. I had an S14 SR with z32 maf, boost controller, FMIC, turbo timer, walbro fuel pump, wheels and tires, strut bar, springs, etc etc. Last night I was driving through an intersection when I had the right of way, when a lady in a Jeep in the left turn lane across from me zoomed out and smashed into the front of the car on the driver's side. I don't know how she didn't see me, but all I remember now is her headlights and the sound of the crash. The next thing I knew I was hearing people saying "Is she conscious?", "Is she breathing?", "Maam are you okay?". I couldn't move because the car was pretty much accordioned from the back seat forward. A lady and a man talked to me until help got there, telling me to take deep breaths and asking me where it hurt. I told them everywhere, but especially my legs because i thought they were both broken. I couldn't help crying because it hurt so bad. 2 fire engines and 4 ambulances and some police cars were there within minutes. They couldn't open the driver's side door so they had to put a neck brace on me, lift me up in my seat and slowly ease me out the passenger side (where they'd taken the door off) onto a board to go on a stretcher. There was a big crowd of people at the scene all staring at my car with horrified expressions on their faces. All I could see of my car was the interior smashed up around me and the hood folded up outside the shattered windshield. I was put in the ambulance and had an IV started. They took me to the ER where I had x-rays and a cat scan done. Since I'd had a concussion only last month, they were afraid of me having a second one. They also cut my pants off me because I was bleeding on my right leg. The results: my left leg broken, torn ligaments and a bad sprain on the right leg, a deep 7 inch long cut on my right leg that needed stitches, and bruises and cuts on the rest of my body. A bunch of my friends waited in the ER for hours till they could see me and told me that they'd go look at my car right after they left. They called me when they'd seen it and told me they were all amazed by how bad it looked. All of them thought that from the way the car looks, it doesn't look like the person inside would've survived. My best friend's boyfriend has been working with cars and trucks his whole life, and he said it was one of the worst wrecked cars he'd ever seen and that if he hadn't known me and known that I was okay, he'd have bet that the driver had been killed. The police said that if I'd been going just a little faster, she would've hit me on the driver's side door and I wouldn't have made it. My dad went and took pictures for the insurance company today and when I saw them I got really upset because I couldn't see how I'd lived through it either. Now I'm stuck at home because I can't walk, until my sprained right ankle is strong enough to put weight on so I can use crutches. I'm really thankful that I did survive and that the lady in the Jeep was fine but if anyone knows of an S14 without many mods in the NC area please let me know, I have to start all over again.
