Up until yesterday I had an s14 that I had done most of the work on by myself in my garage. I had an S14 SR with z32 maf, boost controller, FMIC, turbo timer, walbro fuel pump, wheels and tires, strut bar, springs, etc etc. Last night I was driving through an intersection when I had the right of way, when a lady in a Jeep in the left turn lane across from me zoomed out and smashed into the front of the car on the driver's side. I don't know how she didn't see me, but all I remember now is her headlights and the sound of the crash. The next thing I knew I was hearing people saying "Is she conscious?", "Is she breathing?", "Maam are you okay?". I couldn't move because the car was pretty much accordioned from the back seat forward. A lady and a man talked to me until help got there, telling me to take deep breaths and asking me where it hurt. I told them everywhere, but especially my legs because i thought they were both broken. I couldn't help crying because it hurt so bad. 2 fire engines and 4 ambulances and some police cars were there within minutes. They couldn't open the driver's side door so they had to put a neck brace on me, lift me up in my seat and slowly ease me out the passenger side (where they'd taken the door off) onto a board to go on a stretcher. There was a big crowd of people at the scene all staring at my car with horrified expressions on their faces. All I could see of my car was the interior smashed up around me and the hood folded up outside the shattered windshield. I was put in the ambulance and had an IV started. They took me to the ER where I had x-rays and a cat scan done. Since I'd had a concussion only last month, they were afraid of me having a second one. They also cut my pants off me because I was bleeding on my right leg. The results: my left leg broken, torn ligaments and a bad sprain on the right leg, a deep 7 inch long cut on my right leg that needed stitches, and bruises and cuts on the rest of my body. A bunch of my friends waited in the ER for hours till they could see me and told me that they'd go look at my car right after they left. They called me when they'd seen it and told me they were all amazed by how bad it looked. All of them thought that from the way the car looks, it doesn't look like the person inside would've survived. My best friend's boyfriend has been working with cars and trucks his whole life, and he said it was one of the worst wrecked cars he'd ever seen and that if he hadn't known me and known that I was okay, he'd have bet that the driver had been killed. The police said that if I'd been going just a little faster, she would've hit me on the driver's side door and I wouldn't have made it. My dad went and took pictures for the insurance company today and when I saw them I got really upset because I couldn't see how I'd lived through it either. Now I'm stuck at home because I can't walk, until my sprained right ankle is strong enough to put weight on so I can use crutches. I'm really thankful that I did survive and that the lady in the Jeep was fine but if anyone knows of an S14 without many mods in the NC area please let me know, I have to start all over again.

Wow... sorry to hear all of that. Good to know you made it out okay though! When you're ready, make sure to give that lady hell. Accidents are bound to happen and all, but when something so blatantly careless like this occurs, it's very hard to sympathize.

aww man, I feel so sorry for you right now. Thank God you are still alive, and you can build a better S14. Is there anything you can salvage from the car to put on the new one?I'm in Maryland so I'll keep an eye out for any S14s for sale. Ironicly, I bought my Zenki from a guy in Hickory, NC.

I hope her insurace company pays for everything and then some.Get well soon bro. The car will be missed.

Awww man that really sucks...Glad your alive though. I'd give you an s14 (If I had the money of course) after hearing your story. I hope you have a speedy recovery. Don't let the insurance company skimp out on you, hire a lawyer if you have too.

Dont know how far you are from the Raleigh area, but there are always lots of 240s for sale in the N&O and around the triangle area....But yeah, def hire a lawyer and sue the **** outta the lady....sentimental value on automoblies can be taken into account and awarded in certain lawsuits, that is if u want to sue the lady, and give the ins company hell if they dont give adequate help

I wish there was anything that could be salvaged. I asked my boyfriend if it had looked like anything could be saved and he said maybe the tail lights and the rear wheels. My best friend's boyfriend told me that my FMIC looked like a faded twisted cut up Pepsi can, just a silver piece of twisted metal. My dad said the roof and even the trunk were rippled from impact.

It's okay, when my car was intact, nobody could believe it was a girl's car. They thought it had to be my boyfriend's, and when i told them it was mine and that i'd worked on it myself their jaws would drop.

My AIM name is amybeth8483. I kind of prefer a 95 if you notice one because i plan on doing a swap and my car didn't pass inspection because of some new laws they just passed in my county. The new laws apply to vehicles 96 and newer.

I don't know if you've ever heard of Greenville, NC? But Winterville is right next to Greenville. I was born in Atlanta, so I love it down there. I don't know that I'm going to do an SR next time, I'm kinda leaning toward an RB25. I'd be really interested in getting sponsored though. Thanks for letting me know!

yeah for sure. um we have various car we are doing right now. a 93 coupe with a built KA-T for sale. the skyline GTR i am buying, bone stock. a 98 240sx with a KA-T. and an 86 with a 220whp N/A 4age. and my S14.5 that is being COMPLETELY overhauled. you getting any insurance money? that coupe would be a sweet car. sort of nervous about female sponsership though cause the last one we help just disappeared on us.

oh and by the way, 25s in S14s make horrible drift cars. perfect in S13s though.

Here's another of under the hood. Like I said, hopefully I'll have after pictures within a week and then I'll post them. It's insane, it really doesn't look like the same car at all.

I'm sure I will be getting insurance money, I just don't know how much yet. I understand being a little nervous after having that other girl disapper on you guys. It seems like some girls who work on their cars do so for the wrong reasons or it's just a "phase" for them. For me, I can't imagine not working on something. I'm going to be 60 and still doing this. And it's funny that you said that about 2.5s being good in S13s because I had a dream earlier today that I was telling my friends I was getting one and swapping in an RB25. (I've been sleeping a lot because of the pain meds)

Lol, that's so funny because one of my ex's complaints was that I cared too much about my car. He got jealous. Most people are just like "ooookaaaay" around me because they have no idea what i'm talking about when i talk about my car or what i want to do with it

Hey s14_girl,

nothing to worry about, its just a lil experiences in your life; unless youre badly disabled theres nothing to worry about or try to survive it or get better etc..

you will even get a better car later on. Just listen to your father and let him handle all the lawsuit and everything. make sure that lady's insurance pays you to cover for all the damages well. i know for a fact that she simply wasn't paying attention to the road. you always gotta keep your eyes on the road.

remember, if you've been injured, call JAY and the associates

just kidding, hope you get better.

P.S. we need some pics bud, all the pics actually. it will be create a bit fear in NICO members and remind them to drive carefully.
