hey fellas, I know this will get moved to another forum, but I thought I'd try to catch the moderators sleeping and get your attention...

I've been trying to find really good pictures of your rear bumpers, and haven't been able to see them (except yours Ricko) I really wanted to get an idea of what color schemes you guys went with for your ED bumper..... thanks 1 million fellas...

and the answer to the question swirling around in your head is YES!

For those that know the question, please do not mention it... for those that don't know the question, please do not ask... just get your motherphucking popcorn ready!

LOL, OK... I would say more, but I don't want to spoil the fun... this thread will go dead for a few weeks, and then, it'll be back on and popping!

i have no idea what that says.... (ill probably just put it in google to translate it lol). the thing i don't like about the ED rear bumper is the massive portion in the middle that's black..... i prefer something more subtle. but i like those 2 pieces next to the black portion.... mehdi is there anyway you can photoshop a pic for me? basicly the ED rear bumper but instead of the black portion, put solid bumper and the factory rear diffuser with my quad tips.

heres a pic of my car

Well now the cats out of the bag. I am legally bound not to say any negative things about the company who did the work. But Really can hardly tell most of the time and not half bad for a shop not using factory paint.

Don't let the paint code fool you. There are variants of the code when you put in the mixer. My paint code on my coupe is from a 06 vintage..not 08. Go figure

As to your question Doc, I went with matte black since my fascia was done in Matte Black.

what did you do to it? it looks like just the rear diffuser but then theres fiberglass on the rest of the bumper too.

I was Referred to a shop by person X. Shop said they could do it, I found out the hard way they couldn't. For the job done and price paid = not worth going to court and I cannot say any negative things about said shop.

Paint code is a match at k12, the rear spoiler was shipped painted and matches. Just a matter of a painter doing coat and coat till they hit the spot.

A professional shop has the same problem but they don't let you know it. They keep shooting till its right.

I am going to give credit to the shop who did my front bumper who I was referred to by the dealer . . . so you know they make them look brand new.

Temecula Auto Body They are pricey but its worth every penny. I am going to have them fix my skirts and rear when I have enough

Hussain, any paint shop will tell you, matching factory paint is NOt easy and is rarely done perfectly on the first try...

the paint code only gives them a mix of what paint colors and types to use, even after they mix it, things like temperature, humidity, and angl;e of the spray gun can all alter the fonal color that comes out

Professional shop usually will either

A. keep reshooting until they get it right or

B. blend the new coat into the rear quarter panels, or adjacent panels so that you can notice the stark contrast

No paint shop that I have EVER spoken to has said its easy to match factory paint. If yur shop did it on the first try, your car was the exception, definately not the norm
