Dante Hall has mad skills ( i wish i would have started him on my fantasty team yeasterday, my dumbass benched him!). Although his kick return should have been called back yeasterday on a blatant block in the back (watch the replay, right when starts taking off to the open side of the field. And i ahve to argue that J. Elam is the greatest kicker in the game. 63 yards, that all i have to say.

Go COLTS!!!
We will have to see after tonights game. I think the bucs are the first real good team they have played. I think the colts are a damn good team, but they wont make it past Denver (ok, so im biased :D )Either way, i hope their defense does good tonight, i need the points for my fantasy team.

Well, I too am biased, so no big deal. That is the way it's supposed to be, right?

Now, the Colts did pour it on Tennesse which isn't a slouch of a team on offense or defense. Final was 32 -13 or something like that. I think the key to this game is turnovers. Whoever wins the turnover battle wins the game.

As for the best kicker, how can you go against the most accurate kicker in NFL history and the only kicker who is 12 of 12 for the year? Mike Vanderjagt. He may be the idiot liquored up kicker but he is the best. You can't argue with the records. I am sure all you Bronco fans remember the game in the snow last year. 53 yarder to send it to OT then another 54 yarder to win it OT in the blowing snow. Come on, you can't argue with the stats (Most accurate in NFL history). But, I am biased.

I haven't kept up with the games this year but I do need to see how each team is doing. My Super Bowl pick is Broncos, but also Titans.

Argh! I gotta catch a few of the games. :D

I'm a huge Eagles fan - so let me be the first to say that they look like ****, on both sides of the ball.

That said, I worry less about the defense due to the injuries on the line and in the secondary - though I feel they've gotten worse in successive years. The offense is not clicking at all, I think in part due to the lack of defensive intensity from years past (2000 especially, or 1992), and in part due to the platooning backs and play calling. McNabb has also been out of rhythm all season.

But we're 2-2 , and can only get better. Eagles are a play-off team this year, but it remains to be seen how injuries affect them and howwhen they get thier offense in synch.

Right now MN and KC look pretty good, but we are only in week 5

Anyway, GO EAGLES!

Its all about Denver, but i cant believe they lost that damn game by 1 point, all because the missed field goal, or maybe when we let Hall WALK it all the way back, without even being challenged. But i believe denver will make it all the way this year.

Give me a freakin break! Dante Hall juked the CRAP out of your players to make that touchdown. Uh, Chris Cole, when interviewed after the game, said he missed Hall 3 times. The replay shows he juked at least 7 players on his own with absolutely no blocking. To say you let him walk in? Unbelievable!!!

Also, i think it's funny that you're making excuses while we're sitting atop the AFC West at 5-0. You'll get your game in Denver and then we'll see what happens. By the way, the play called on that punt return? Punt block. He had no blockers and was told to fair catch the ball.

Yep.

The Colts won again. 7-1 now. The only loss came in OT to the Panthers.

The best teams in the NFl are the Colts and the Chiefs. I can't wait to see the Colts beat the Chiefs in the AFC championship game.

The Chiefs are 8-0

The Colts are 7-1

The Chiefs are getting ready to play the easy half of the schedule, the Colts are getting ready to play the hard half of theirs. I have respect for the Colts don't get me wrong (Dwight Freeney makes me pee) but let's talk about the playoffs when the playoffs arrive.

The Chiefs have already played the easy half of their schedule and now they have the other easy half of their schedule. They play in perhaps the weakest divison in the AFC. The Colts have played to this point one of the 10 toughest schedules in the league and their second half is just as tough.

Granted the Colts haven't done anything in the Playoffs since Jim Harbaugh took them to the AFC Championship in '95, of which they got robbed by Kordell Stewart's illegal touchdown after he was out-of-bounds, but I don't hold a grudge. But, yeah, I guess no-one will take the Colts seriously until they win in the Playoffs. I understand that. I think this is the year. But, I always say that.

Hell at least you guys make the playoffs. Our last trip was 1997. Also, I think the Colts have a easy schedule. The Bucs are not the Super Bowl champions of last year. Cleveland was an easy game, so was Houston, and New Orleans isn't what I would call a great team either. Your two impressive wins have been against Tennessee and Miami. Your loss to Carolina proved you can be beaten by a running game and solid defense. Also, you guys play in the conference that is the EXACT same as ours. You have one contender for the division title (Titans) just like we do (Broncos). Your other two teams are the Texans (3-5) and the Jags (1-7). We have the Raiders (2-6) and the Chargers (1-7). To tell me my division is weak is a ridiculous statement looking at the evidence.

By the way, you should have lost that Miami game. Dwight Freeney saved your *** because Peyton screwed up big time. Also, the first half of our schedule was difficult. Baltimore is proving to be a better team, Denver is always a hard game, The Packers were tough and are getting much better. I think the Chiefs aren't getting enough credit from the attention-hungry Colts fans.

Oh and I do kind of hold a grudge. Do you remember the game before the AFC Championship in '95? Jim Harbaugh led a 4th-quarter rally to beat the Chiefs. Our kicker, Lin Elliott, didn't help matters any by missing FOUR field goals!!! He was fired thatn night (no joke).

Nick :)

p.s. I actually would love to see a Colts-Chiefs AFC Championship. They are the two best teams in the AFC.

Also, the Chiefs are 8-0

Yeah the Chiefs aren't getting the credit an unbeaten team deserves. There's a reason for that. Besides that 38-5 rout of the Bills, they played a string of close games. There also isn't one aspect of this team that I would consider to be dominating. They have a well-rounded offense, solid defense and get great play from their special teams (which can and has been the x-factor for this team). In the playoffs, special teams play can mean the difference between advancing and staying home. That said, the Chiefs have one of the best money kickers of all time in Andersen and a superstar gamebreaker in Dante Hall.

The Chiefs have been the most balanced and consistent team in football and they're offense can put up some huge numbers. They've beaten some pretty solid teams so far: Green Bay is tough and clawing its way to playoff contention. Baltimore is a tough, physical team with one of the league's best defenses. They ended Denver's hot streak and blew-out the teams they should've beaten. At this point, I would say they're a shoe-in for superbowl champ because all though Indy is great, their defense is still susceptible. Tennessee's looking good too, but they have trouble against teams that can air it out and I think they'd be exposed by an extremely balanced passing attack like KC's. When it comes to how offenses are run, I really like **** Vermeil's philosophy of emphasizing the running game. He likes using versatile backs and running passing plays in which any number of receivers can beat you. It worked in St. Louis and it's producing great results again in KC. Although Indy has a prolific offense, I don't feel Indy's passing attack is quite as well-rounded as KC's. If you were to line up a premiere corner against Harrison, I could see Indy's offense getting sluggish.

And dammit my Pats are 7-2 and still ain't getting any love!?! Sure they haven't dominated anybody but they did beaten some playoff contenders in Miami, Tennessee, Denver and the Giants. And this is with a long list of injuries and a quarterback with an anemic arm!

Of course im always hopin that the Steelers will make a turnaround and maybe win a freaking game....5 losses in a row, i cant even watch them play anymore, its too damm frustrating:( i could only imagine if they still had Stewart as QB, yeah hes really working wonders in chicago:rolleyes

Well, lets just see how the rest of the season goes. I don't feel like debating it anymore. You're probably right or at least partially right. The Broncos were pretty good before they had all of the injuries, but they have sucked since. Anyway, at this point, the Chiefs are obviously the best team, until they get beat. I am fairly certain that they and the Colts will each loose at least one more game this year.

I think that the Pats and Titans are pretty close too though. The AFC is pretty stocked this year, at least at the top. They are pretty stocked at the bottom too though.

And nissanrcer240, what can I say about the Steelers, except, hahahahahahahahahaha. Oh, how they have fallen. What the hell happened to the running game that is Steelers football?

Well after this weekend the thread comes back to life:

The Colts, who have been touted as having a tougher schedule and being in a tougher division than the Chiefs and rumored to even be a better team....lost yesterday to the now 2-7 Jaguars and rookie quarterback Byron Leftwich. This brings the Colts' record to 7-2.

What happened to the Chiefs on Sunday you might ask? Oh, we beat the Browns 41-20. Priest ran for his usual 2 touchdowns and Trent Green lit the Browns up for 2 TD passes. The Chiefs are now 9-0.

That huge loss to the Jaguars definitely shakes things up in the AFC. With the way the Titans are playing right now, they've firmly taken control of the number two spot. Gritty defense and Tom Brady and the offense coming up with big plays move the Pats up to number three. As I've said before, this Colts D looks pretty suspect right now. IMO Byron Leftwich is a mediocre quarterback with a higher turnover count than TD passes.

McNair and the Titans are surging while the Colts are fizzling. I'll say it right now, the Titans are gonna win that division.
