Getting ready to put away the boat and get to work installing a T3 super 60. I'll be running about 10 - 12 lbs.

I'd like to hear from all you fellow super 60 guys. What RPM can I expect to see boost and how much?

I understand it will spool at 2500RPM. When will it see 4,6,8,10 & 12lbs?

12 psi on my super 60 is pretty fun. I have full boost at right around 2800 rpm's. I can take some vids of it if you would like... it hits pretty damn quick and keeps pulling up till my 6500 rev limit. My tune is a bit rich so it kinda bogs between shifts... still fun tho.

Thanks guys. You both have stage 1 turbines?

That should make for easy tuning. I guess I'll start pulling timing at 2500 and be at -9deg by 3000rpm in the high load areas.

You guys think I'll be at 12lbs at 3000rpm under WOT?

I hope they have a stg 3 wheel instead of the std wheel. Z31 T3's are the only turbo I know of that comes with the std (stg 1) wheel.

I'd also like to see a vid, wild_maxx. LEMHEAD, have you dynoed the car at 14.5psi? I'm hoping a Super 60 should be approaching 300whp at 1bar...

Can and would you guys be willing to compare the T3 Super 60 to the GT2871R?

Thanks,Dave

I am still running the stock MAFS at 1 bar so I don't think it is hitting 300HP, Although I am using the Emanage with pressure sensor so it may be able to bypass the MAF in boost. MY motor is pretty much toast also so I think a healthy motor would run better than mine.

I'll take the GF out tonight and have her record while i drive... may be easier.

I really love the quick boost.. but damn I have a built motor that can hold 400+ hp.. so its tempting to put a larger turbo on there.

Sweet videos. Looks like it reaches full boost by about 3800RPM.

Do you happen to have a bin for your tune? I have my fuel all worked out but I'd love to see what your timing looks like.

DAMN your hitting 17 psi with this turbo? I thought they would run outta breath... but i guess i'll take it up to 15 psi and see how she feels.

Edub- This is the tune Gabe wrote for me. He rode with me on the initial tune but due to some leaky injector seals he couldn't fine tune it. This tune attached is the final tune he made that leans out my a/f's. I currently run around 10.8:1 in boost.. so it does need some fuel cut out of it. I don't have this tune in my car yet.. don't have a rom burner. Once gabe gets his dyno all setup he'll be able to fine tune my setup and poss. use it as a good base tune for all us KAE-T guys.

What are the specs of this turbo? I've never heard of it... It has a t3 flange but spools like a turbo with a t2? interesting...

it has a .48 a/r turbine with a .60 a/r comp. housing on it with an optional stage 3 wheel. I don't know the compressor map or how well it is on the KA but its good for quick spool and good high end pull. It won't make 300+ hp... but thats not why I chose it.

Its pretty quick spooling moderate power making turbo thats pretty good for say an autoX course where you will be changing gears alot and need quick boost and accel.

Wild_Maxx...um.. your my hero I didnt realize it was a single slammer until i started paying attention to posts...and a built one at that.... how is she doing so far? any issues?....also i really appreciate the movies... like u said if u can get ur g/f to hold the camera and another 1-2-3 pull would be awesome. -lyons

hehe yes she is a single slammer! and she's doing great so far. This is actually my third motor and I quickly learned.. if you want something done right you have to do it yourself. I am in the process of making more vids and hosting a website with a few How-to's on there. i.e. installing rods/pistons, building bottom ends, head gaskets, cams ect...in the SOHC.

If you want some more info just email me [email protected] or add me to your msn messenger contact list with the same email address.

Sweet. I have a stage 1 but the timing should be close. When did he do this tune?

If you want, I'd be happy to put this on a chip for you.

Gabe did this tune in July but since i don't have a ROM burner i have been using the original tune he did in the car.

That would be freaking awesome if you could burn this new tune on a chip. I will pay shipping, and I have 3 extra chips so i can send you a replacement one. The 3 chips already have tunes on them... but you can erease them and use them again. Let me know what you want to do.

Done. Send an email with your address to [email protected]

I used the one that says fixedAF. I assume this is the one you want.

This looks like he got rid of the "low octane" maps which he determined to be for the secondary butterflies. Do you have those removed?

I'm not sure why he thinks this is beneficial but I guess he knows what he's doing.

Let me know how it works.

The best explaination of how to read a compressor map is here.

I must admit to being a little biased though.

If you wish to become even more accurate, considering IAT, system pressure drops, etc., go here:

Edub1: Way cool for burning that tune for Wildmaxx.
