I was testing out a pair of headers for the 350Z they did not line up right at first so the cat back had to be modded to make it work. There was a steering arm clearance issue which was found out way later and it was addressed to them but they don't seem to care about the consumer only the money they make.

Now I have a damage steering arm, cut up stock cat-back and a missing brace arm and some non-fitting headers. I told them that if I got the new headers installed soon the car would be fine but they seem to delay and delay. The header are still in the car and they are cracking so the car is slow and runs hard cause the exhaust is leaking out.

All I want is money for the damages their product caused on the Z. Nothing more but now the lawyer wants his cut so it went from a lil bit of money to alot money.

I posting this so everyone can tell everyone not to buy the Autochrome headers for the Z. This company could have fixed this on the downlow with me but no they have a middle man and will not contact me directly. Even after a few emails they still have not contacted me directly so now it is enough talk and on with a lawsuit.

Please link this post to any other forums with nissans lovers like us we need to protect ourselves.

**These header were prototype headers I was test fitting them.

To me it doesn't sound worth suing a company over a faulty part. You spent the money for a pos header, so fitment errors are very possible.

However, if this company stole your money, and never sent a product, that is very good ground work for a law suit(RE: night7)

I hear that law suits are time consuming and expensive. It's possible that it may not be worth your while.

I did not pay for anything I was test fitting them and in the process it damaged my car. If you test fit a turbo and blow the engine up do you just say oh well and get another car to test your turbo on or do you fix the car you are working on.

It is matter of standing by your product and helping a person who was helping you make money.

So you if you test fit an intake manifold for your car and it falls a apart and piece of metal get sucked into your engine. Would you just sit there and take it, you might but I am not?

if it didn't fit in the beggining... they should pull your header and copy its locations. I don't understand how hard it is to understand that.

Wow sounds like their R&D department sucks donkeys. I think you are right only asking for damages to the vehicle and nothing more(besides lawyers cost). Good luck to you man and maybe you'll straighten them up.

I have many good friends I am getting Headers for the Z at cost shipped to my door :ylsuper once they heard about my problems a few people on the Z board offer there headers at very cheap. I can't refuse this deal next will be a custom cat-back since my stock cat-back is crap. I am glad I am nice to every one cause it all comes full circle at times like this.

BRM is the only one I know of. Talk to Greg. Im sure that he'll be more than willing to help out. He might even give it to you cheaper due to the given circumstances. IDK just talk to him though. Im sure the cat back is at a reasonable price or so he says.

man that sucks. I hope you get those jackholes.

They sent me a used DSM turbo instead of a new T25/28 hybrid. I just stopped credit card payment. Forget dealing with them, they can deal with the fraud department.

I don't know about anyone else, but if I had a $30,000 car and was test fitting something and saw it wasn't fitting, I don't think I'd start hacking away the car. Test fit usually means you try it, and if it doesn't fit, you tell them why and where.

SS Autochrome sucks balls. I have yet to see one of their products fit properly. Their O2 sensor housing elbows for the SR don't fit at all. Even with heating and bending
