Subwoofer for QX4

I'm looking to upgrade my stock 2001 Infiniti QX4 radio - It is very clear right now with the Bose system, but I would like a little more kick.

I'm thinking about adding a pair of 12's with an amp. Does anybody have any pointers or suggestions?

I don't want to break the bank nor do I want it to sound like garbage.

Some people wont like it, but I agree with you; the bose sounds decent, just needs a little kick.

The route I took was to use an MTX amp (the new line will accept speaker level inputs). Just use the midrange speaker in the rear as the input for the amp, and boom-you can use your steering wheel controlls and your stock HU. Your choice of subs is up to you; I have 2 MTX 10s in a custom box that hits very hard.

Did you say a "little" more kick and mention 2, 12's? I was thinking along the lines of 1, 10. What kind of music do you like to listen to?
