I know im going to hear it for this, and i know its going to sound pretty stupid, but the tire places in my area have been useless thus far.

So I purchased XXR 002's 15x9's, i purchased 15x8's but i was sent 15x9's, so heres some of the issues im having, each tire place ive gone too not only is finding it hard to find a tire to fit these rims, but also refuses to put on a set of tires before i find out what my clearance is going to be like, so Im just trying to get some suggestions cause i dont know anyone near me who runs anything other than stock rims on their 240, so Im just wondering what tire sizes should be going on these damn things, and if I have enough clearance, and if not what can i do to get the clearance, i know I can get the fenders rolled and such, but should i be getting spacers ect.

thanks for any help in advance, and sorry for the dumb post

Try a 215/45 or so.

offset?

i would recommend a more meaty tire than a 45 series, maybe a 50/55

There is no stupid questions, just stupid answers. What are the specs of the rims, offset.

Found on rimtuck.com. Specs are 15x9 0 offset, which I think is the only offset offered on the x9 002's. Tires are 195/50, looks like you can get away with a 205/50 with a pull.

Best bet is ordering tires online. A shop will more than likely say 205 is too narrow for a 9" wheel. Next challenge is finding a shop to mount them.

I think the PC way of saying that would have been "lowrider" shop.

Horrible choice in wheels, but size wise something like 245/50-15 would fit. And costa rican is right, mexican shops are alot cheaper and do stuff that alot of other shops won't do.

No problem. After looking I guess 265 would be kind of stretched, but not the way that most people refer to "stretched" as. It will be a little less than square, so it would look normal.

This is the best tire caluculator I've found:

http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html

Also be aware not all tire brands have same dimensions and things are not proportional as size changes.

wow guys that was alot of useful information, i went in and i still got flack for the rims, looks like i might have to go online cause they still refuse to mount them on the rims unless i can prove there will be tire clearance, and i cant find any used tires that will fit that i can bring in and im not buying a full set of tires just to have them rub, and the tire idiots just argue with me on tire size, with the 195/50 wouldn't i have to get them stretched, im noob on tires, thus this thread, so im just wondering if 195/50 will fit without spacers or fender mods, and what kind of modifications must be done to get them to fit on the rims and in the car

Did you even go to the tire calculator? If you can't figure out how to do stuff then maybe you shouldn't so it. If you insist on putting those POS on your car then find some 235/50-15 or 225/50-15.

didnt see the calculator, used my phone to respond, and i dont see how they are pos wheels, everyone at the track runs them, already found a guy at a credible drift shop(not mexican) who mounted them, pretty sure you find out how to do things by asking, if i knew how to do it, i wouldnt have asked, and asking around got me answers

Some people just hate on cheep wheels. Ignore it and move on or risk getting into a long pointless argument that dosnt help anything...

Go with a 225-50 and you should be fine.

Mexican shops will put sand in the trans to make it shift better for 30 miles, put tape around a leaky fuel line, or weld a tin can around a holey rusty exhaust. Its cheap work for a reason.
