I have decided to to put in a front strut tower bar but i dont really want to spend the money on the name. Im all for quality but its only a strut bar. Im thinkinng about buying a fairly generic one made by pilot. I think the performace difference between a say, cusco and a generic bar is quite minimal, being that it is just a piece of metal, what do you guys think?

the actual perfomance is beter with the more expensive stuff but for our road use, it makes no diff..

I have a generic strut in my car and it is absolutely fine... you can def feel the difference in your car..

Even if the strut braces do break, you can probably buy like 10-15 more before actually matching the price to a Cusco one. Just my 2 cents

nopi makes a good generic, it seems they are all the same foreign manufacturer. check the welds, this is where you see the difference between cheap and expensive. my welds aren't exactly straoght but they are strong and the stb was only 40 bucks.

I think it's more along the lines of "Men want me. Men have had me. Women pay me not to have them." ;)

im debating whether or not to get strut tower bars right now. i already have whiteline springs, AGX shocks, whiteline f/r sway bars, and whiteline bushings. are strut bars worth the money? how much of a difference do they make?

I posted this before. I'm usually skeptical about ebay stuff. But I bought these because they were cheap and they turned out to be really nice. And I can definetely feel the difference. They're actually pretty well made. Just an option.http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...33591

turboka37 - i felt the difference the first time i took a 90 degree corner hard. it felt like the car all of a sudden decided to steer. it only comes into play when you load up g's on the chassis. but it was definately worth it. i am surprised that you haven't done it already considering the more complicated mods you have done to your suspension, this wil just cap it off.

I can't tell the different from a front upper strut bar vs. not having one actually.

yea i just got all my suspension stuff about a month ago and was thinking about getting the strut tower bars a bit down the road, but i just worked a lot over the weekend and dont feel bad about spending some money. i kinda like using brand name parts but dont want to spend over about $80 per bar, so im just looking at the different options right now.
