That sure is on par with this one dumb teenager service counter rep that kept calling my car a "Q35" when I kept repeating "it's Q45"

At the least they can order them. In a pinch it'd probably be fine to use autolite plats. they make really good plugs, at least as good as NGK. The only reason I didn't use 'em is because Nissan reccomends the NGK's and NAPA had the NGK's. No sense in testing the waters if you don't have to, but, given the option of 100 bucks for plugs or another brand I'd say screw it, as long as they werent Champion or Accel. A hundred bucks on plugs. Somebody should rape whoever determines that pricing.

I wish I didn't have to, but I had my tail in a crack. My Q was going in the shop early the next morning and I was having the chain guides replaced and valve covers resealed. Since they VC's were coming off, it was the consensus of the experienced board members that I did the plugs. I needed them and the stealership was my only option. I had called 3 different NAPA places and all they had was iridium.

What makes it worse is that the service counter rep was an old guy. 58-62 I'd reckon. Couldn't effing believe his lack of knowledge. I'm not very fond of my local dealership. If it's not a G or an M, they pretty much don't care.

$104 for plugs was a good buy considering you were already paying the labor to get to them while they were resealing the valve covers! A plug change on its own is typically 4-5 hours worth of labor at any qualified shop! The new plugs will probobly last at least till you need to reseal valve covers again{80-100 thousand miles}

You're right. But I know that I wish to never do it again. Next time, I'll have the plugs on hand.
