ya that was me lmao its on youtube, and the cams dont fit our qr, they changed something with the motor in 2007 so the guy at nismo said nothing for the qr will work, i even called jim wolf and they said the same thing , o and here is my carHussain wrote:i heard my 3.5se straight piped and it sounded bad ***! didn't get to drive it or anything though, the guy at the muffler shop just reved it for me to hear and then put the muffler on lol
if you guys are really anxious about hearing how it sounds, someone did the same thing to a 2.5 A/C a couple weeks ago (kept the stock resonator though) and posted a vid.
well we cant have an x pipe due to us only having one header, you would need at least a 6 cyl, now i seen some cars with one header and it splits out in 2 so they can do it, but not us as of now lol, we can only have a y-pipe. umm as far as the no mufflers well.. its not bad, idk what the laws are in different states with sound and stuff but its ok in CT were lucky with our cars cuz they sound great with just the resonator on...alot of 4cyl sound raspy or rice, but ours has a nice deep toneJLAUDIO85 wrote:ohhhh thats sick...i must have totally missed that threadk um i have noob questions...can u fit a X pipe?? if so, will it sound different than straight pipe?and is it bad running w/o mufflers??thanks lol
if you put closed tips on it, it will sound deeper, cuz the stock ones are open in the back and you lose alot of the sound and tone from that...but looks greattheoctopussi wrote:video soon... pulls like a *****, low and high end is sexy... sound is sexy. **** is just sexy. lol to each their own - I kept the stock tips for, um, the stock look lol just wanted to post this...
no that's torque. the more free flowing it is, the more HP you'll get (to a certain extent). but if it's too free flowing (like having no muffler) you'll lose back pressure which means you'll lose torque. so pretty much, in the 1/4 mile or when your racing someone it'll be faster at the higher RPMs. but if you try to pass on the hwy without down shifting, you'll actually be slower.niztec wrote:sometimes it might decrease HP, since there is no back pressure right??? but thats in some cases....
