hi nicoclub

now im 21 years old, still located in Manassas Virginia.. i feel like i only make yearly entries on here.. im sorry haha

heres my entry from last year username was david S12 but IDK the new password email didnt work. i had that s12 for 4 years and drove around 60 events with it, 7 motors 2 including 1jz's
1jzgte-vvti-s12-200sx-ton-of-pics-t529989.html

heres some footage of my driving my s13 street daily (first time really driving a s13) earlier this year a few times, went to VIR, Summit point, and ODS with it got me hooked and ended selling my S12 and buying a S14 to get better into tandem/comps

all of these clips here are the same run @ old dominion speedway oval in manassas, stock sr20/open DP w/ tein winding master coilovers

The S12 is gone and done for good, im gonna build a new one later
Image
RIP

Received this from a good friend, a shell ready to go. Took the 1jz out of my 200sx and will be poppin it in this s14 that had been previously 1j'd
It's dark ATM and my garage is full of other s chassis's ATM

First plan! Get a r154 shifter extension I didn't need one in the s12.. I'm on it

heres some daylight iphone pics, car is dirty, needs some aero, i have lights and s*** to put in it.. ill get on it

gonna prepare the bay tomorrow, been stripping it down. Gotta make a bracket for the fusebox where its new position is.
maybe redo the fuel line setup, using double flared fittings

Image
Image
Image

then i need to clean/tape it all up/paint

cleaned
Image
prepared/sanded some
Image
primed
Image
finished
Image
Image

my S12 a few years ago had this color bay while it was sr'd
Image

s12, s13, s14
Image

got rid of one today
Image

Image

hood pins & hood spacers installed

interior pic, got a steering wheel and gonna source out a legal seat thats in date
Image

my shifter extension should be done sometime this weekend, then i can get the engine on the hoist
looks like i could touch up the cage's paint job

Image
All bolted up shifts fine, I'd like I invest in a shorter throw

Helpin my buddy sr swap his s12
Image

waitin on motor mounts to come in!

repaired some front end damage on my dd s13
Image

dope adjustable s12 office chair i made
Image

progress on this sr20 s12, bay is finished!! me & a buddy have been working on his car, im just lending him garage space/giving ideas/doing some welding for him

repaired some holes from where the i/c piping went, it was all hacked up
Image
primed bay
Image
lime splash!
Image

made my trans mount solid, didnt have a rubber mount anyways
Image

need to measure and take my 1j s12 driveshaft back to driveline to mate with the stock rear s14 2 piece
Image

great rad clearance (ka koyo), will be making a aluminum shroud & fan setup
Image

shifter extension puts it right where i need it, sweet
Image

ill start mocking the piping up when i find or buy a kit to mock up

heres part of my build thread for the day

bay is pretty much done minus the piping needs to be redone & so does the intake

Image

race car trash lol
Image

side view
Image

relocated fusebox, still in the process of bringing the headlight wiring back to the headlights, this gives me room for a intake on the other side from where i had it down where the stock battery goes

Image

using my in house, lol.. steel fan shroud for a bit until i get some money right, this time though a koyo radiator and sealing all the seams will give me some better cooling action, i sealed the fans to the shroud also.. ive got a 61.C mishimoto thermostat also
Image

heres my intake for now, if i have leftover piping after i redo the i/c piping ill do this in aluminum
Image

turns out the flange i used on my s12 is the same as the flange on my rear stock driveshaft piece
Image

measured 22 inches from the output shaft to driveshaft flange, dropped all the pieces off @ driveline today, ill have it driving in 2 days when i get it back!

swap all together 100 percent minus the driveshaft, ill be redoing the piping again later, i just need to distribute funds towards other things atm
Image

made a downpipe to mate up with the exhaust that came with a car
Image

clearance is swell, all above the frame rails
Image
Image

startup vid

all done on the bottom almost
Image

got some 25 mm spacers for the front
got the wrong thread pitch studs XD
Image

just orderd some 240 ones at work & pressed em in, the front studs fit, rears dont due to a slim shank
Image

some sr20 s12 coupe progress
Image

finally got it off the stands & drove it out of the garage, it sounds & looks so good.. Im so excited to drift a car like this finally :). Ive only drifted a KA S14 a long time ago..
ill be driving it at hyperfest june 16th if i qualify, & also driving the 17th @ Drift Nirvana. pumped!

pics of it outside letting it run, ill get more footage later..

still have tons to do! borrow a in date seat soon thats next, a battery box, gotta wire the wipers, & other things for tech!

Image

started on a gauge cluster/switch panel, aem wideband gauge, coolant temperature gauge F*, & boost gauge.
gonna start doing a ton of work to it this week since i got fired from toyota, FML. I still am planning on making hyperfest...

gonna run power steering this time around! didnt have it on the s12, past 2 days such a hassle to get this all together ugh, luckily i kept my old tensioner pulley for this

napa belt part number

25 060730 73.5 inches 35$

bought a used pump from a friend, it was missing the pulley and the return line flange so i found those @ the junkyard and pieced it together
Image

also put together a bracket to bypass the A/C compressor, hopefully this 5$ setup works! seems nice and stiff, we will see.. shouldnt be a problem.. though this thing is probally only made for holding stuff up on a clothes line! l
Image
Image

ill brake clean it all down when im done,
i have a earls high pressure line with a AN fitting on the rack, went out to a shop and orderd a fitting that will connect the aftermarket line to my toyota power steering pump, so as of tomorrow ill have full power steering! so happy..

got some gloves, shoes, roll bar padding, a extinguisher mount, some high density padding & some cheaper stuff all @ OG racing
borrowed a in date seat and harness too! this is actually working out! no job - no problem!
looks like im gonna have everything i need to make tech

hyperfest coverage

too bad i didnt qualify, turns out the BOV was leaking a tremendous amount of boost and i couldnt figure it out until sunday.
id hit about 7psi and then id just start losing all my boost/have no top end

got there thursday
Image

friday morning getting ready for practice
Image
Image

some photos from friday practice/qualifying, it felt like it had around 200 hp at this point :/
no power no smoke! FAIL! ended up qualifying 22nd place! at least i didnt get a zero
Image
Image
Image

blocked off that b**** (the BOV) @ drift nirvana around 1pm sunday through the day after checking for numerous boost leaks etc. and BAM like 70 HP and top end outta no where! s*** hauls a** and spins through 3rd on 245's!
sad i didnt make top 16, but so glad i figured the car out! first time driving it.. now at least this winter i can really put some more effort in and prepare for a sick a** 2013 season. most deff will be doing some more testing as this season rolls through though.

Image
