I hold my rod caps on with pure awesomeness. Unfortunately while concentrating on the rods the head gasket blew.

i too have called ARP with our rod bolts dimensions and they do not have anything taht will fit available. Would have to be custom. For the little bit of security in your mind ARP rod bolts will cause, its not worth the price of custom rod bolts from ARP. End of story

moral of the story i believe is. If you need stronger rod bolts, your going to need stronger rods....which should come with bolts

AMEN, if your gonna spend 300-400 on rod bolts... why not save the extra 250 or so for good rods... if your REALLY building a motor that crazy... your probably NOT gona stay with the CA platform anyway... id jump up to an RB25 personally for anything over 450whp

You Sir have just described this forum perfectly. A wealth of knowledge- CheckInfo- CheckFacts- Check Mods that know their stuff - CHECK
niscort wrote:Otherwise, you might as well write up a "fact page" and cease any further discussion on the ca18 engine.
By your logic we would also get rid of the KA, Sr, VG, and any other engine forums. I consider this forum my "bible". Everytime I need info I come directly here. If I cant find the answer I search. If I still can't find it ill ask and someone ALWAYS has an answer. Do you realize just how many people have been able to succesfuly swap a CA into their 240 as a result of reading through this forum?
