I just saw it today and i was wondering if they are able to replace under warranty?Knightro2 wrote:Hope you got those replaced under warranty.
I've had no problems with mine other than a nail in one. Only a $20 fix.
I always thought these tires sucked but didnt want to spend the money replacing relatively new tires. Just read reviews posted on tirerack and you'll see pretty much all of the complaints are the same.greggie195 wrote:That sucks. They should pro-rate the cost so long as it wasn't your fault. I have had no problems with these tires and thought they handle nice in the rain and snow.
Koepel Nissan. I haven't brought it there yet. They usually do thr right thing so I'm not worried about that just pissed that they would put such a crappy tire on a new car.greggie195 wrote:where did you get the car from?
golf ball sized bubbles protruding from your sidewall is never normal.DrivingHabit wrote:Isn't a little bubble normal while parked?
I agree that the Conti's suck in the rain but I beg to differ about the snow. I have found that these handle quite well in the snow. This is my third winter on the original stock Conti's and I still have no complaint about their winter handling. However I am lucky enough to live in a part of Canada which doesnt get snow that often. When we do get it it tends to be wet and slippery but the Conti's have handled it well. The Edge wrote:Not to mention these are horrible in the rain and snow.
I will definately put these at te top of the list and do some research. Do you think 205's will be alrightthatguy1234 wrote:I did I put Michelin Primacy MXV4 195/65/15R Not to much wider but they work great.
These tires are pretty expensive got them during a winter tire sale from costco, they are outstanding quiet and no more tire spin at stop lights. Highly recommended!!!
Did the Dealer honor the warranty?kc5f wrote:I had 63,000 miles on mine when I bought new tires, and they still had some life in them before getting to the tread bars. But my daughter had to have one of hers replaced because of a bubble in the sidewall, too, at about 20,000 miles. I don't think they're necessarily bad tires, just not consistent. Sort of like Versas!
one more item I fully agree with you on. No issues at all with the Contis.Bubs daddy wrote:The Continentals wear and perform fine to me. Over 22,000 miles and it looks like they'll make it to 40K no problem.
Same here. Just over 20k on ours without an issue.fjwagner wrote:one more item I fully agree with you on. No issues at all with the Contis.
They were willing to give her a prorated amount, considering the 20,000 miles on them, against what they considered a replacement tire. It was cheaper for us to buy a new one at my favorite local tire store! The Edge wrote:Did the Dealer honor the warranty?
Huh? Unless you are purposely loading the engine prior to engaging first or putting it into drive this shouldn't be an issue.thatguy1234 wrote:........no more tire spin at stop lights.
I know you have had a cold spell, but come on, how often you you actually get -40C weather? Once a decade? Lets face it, no all season was designed to be used in -40 weather. That's what winter tires are made for. Complaining that the Conti's don't do well in -40 is like complaining they don't do well at Indianapolis Speedway. That's not what these tires were made to do.Ginsu wrote:Its not just snow, its the temp. At -40 celcius, these conti's are harder than stone. I've never driven on a worse set of all seasons. No matter how gently you try to accelerate from a red light or stop sign you will spin out every single time. ABS kicks in way too often when braking, even when you're coasting around slower than my grandmother. Definitely saving up for real winter tires next year!
