Checking my tire pressures today and saw a bubble on 2 tires. Both on drivers side. Have replaced 2 tires already when car was at around 5k and now this. I hate these tires. Not to mention these are horrible in the rain and snow.

Hope you got those replaced under warranty.

I've had no problems with mine other than a nail in one. Only a $20 fix.

If your V is still under warranty then they would be covered. It might not be fully covered since they are a wear item...but somewhat covered non the less.

That sucks. They should pro-rate the cost so long as it wasn't your fault. I have had no problems with these tires and thought they handle nice in the rain and snow.

I always thought these tires sucked but didnt want to spend the money replacing relatively new tires. Just read reviews posted on tirerack and you'll see pretty much all of the complaints are the same.

Koepel Nissan. I haven't brought it there yet. They usually do thr right thing so I'm not worried about that just pissed that they would put such a crappy tire on a new car.

I did I put Michelin Primacy MXV4 195/65/15R Not to much wider but they work great.

These tires are pretty expensive got them during a winter tire sale from costco, they are outstanding quiet and no more tire spin at stop lights. Highly recommended!!!

I agree that the Conti's suck in the rain but I beg to differ about the snow. I have found that these handle quite well in the snow. This is my third winter on the original stock Conti's and I still have no complaint about their winter handling. However I am lucky enough to live in a part of Canada which doesnt get snow that often. When we do get it it tends to be wet and slippery but the Conti's have handled it well.

They are actually OK in the snow, they arent the best. In the rain and snow when I enter to the highway with a fast start it spins out before the car moves. Not the best tires out there.

Its not just snow, its the temp. At -40 celcius, these conti's are harder than stone. I've never driven on a worse set of all seasons. No matter how gently you try to accelerate from a red light or stop sign you will spin out every single time. ABS kicks in way too often when braking, even when you're coasting around slower than my grandmother. Definitely saving up for real winter tires next year!

The Continentals wear and perform fine to me. Over 22,000 miles and it looks like they'll make it to 40K no problem.

I had 63,000 miles on mine when I bought new tires, and they still had some life in them before getting to the tread bars. But my daughter had to have one of hers replaced because of a bubble in the sidewall, too, at about 20,000 miles. I don't think they're necessarily bad tires, just not consistent. Sort of like Versas!

one more item I fully agree with you on. No issues at all with the Contis.

Same here. Just over 20k on ours without an issue.

They were willing to give her a prorated amount, considering the 20,000 miles on them, against what they considered a replacement tire. It was cheaper for us to buy a new one at my favorite local tire store!

Huh? Unless you are purposely loading the engine prior to engaging first or putting it into drive this shouldn't be an issue.

No problems with the stock Conti's so far, although our TPMS valvestems suck. Be careful when you fill the tires up. Any snag and you'll crack them off. Aluminum pieces of crap that cost $120.

I had that problem in Ohio, I was trying to put air in the left front and the valve stem broke apart. I had to take the wheel off and put the spare on and since I was not in my home state had to find a Nissan dealer. The dealer replaced the broken TPMS sensor under warranty.

I know you have had a cold spell, but come on, how often you you actually get -40C weather? Once a decade? Lets face it, no all season was designed to be used in -40 weather. That's what winter tires are made for. Complaining that the Conti's don't do well in -40 is like complaining they don't do well at Indianapolis Speedway. That's not what these tires were made to do.

I know "all seasons" are not all seasons. Everyone here knows that. Whether you have $1000 in your pocket to do anything about it is another issue. This year is especially bad with virtually all stock in common brands and sizes being shipped to Quebec due to their new legislation. What is left over here is subject to price gouging and there are month-long waiting lists.

Also, -55 is once a decade. We had that a couple of winters ago. -40 is just called January.
