Steering wheel from QX4 in Pathfinder

My steering wheel is starting to wear through. I HATE covers so don't mention them as a work-around. My airbag looks just like a QX4's. So does the general shape and Steering Wheel controls.

I'm just wondering if they can be swapped over? I really like the wood on the QX4's wheel.

I'd imagine they can be swapped. No need to worry about combination/wiper stalks or cruise/audio controls since you can just swap those over.

Its not real wood mine has rubbed in a few places and

I wonder if they make wheels with splines that would match our cars. And no air bag

Unfortunately that is a pre 2002 QX. Mine is an 02 Pathy with the same style steering wheel fron 02 and up QX's. That one wouldn't fit and personally, doesn't look as good.

Oh well, I'll just buy a WheelSkin and call it a day. Plus, with the WheelSkin you get a thicker feel to the wheel!

So, a couple of thoughts, in case there's still an interest.

1. The 02+ QX4s actually did come in tan with the newer wheel style. You can see pics in the thread I linked to at the bottom.
2. The similar-year I35s also came in tan with the newer wheel style. I'm about to buy one and try it out.
3. There are steering wheels like yours (non-wood) that are heated. Kinda hard to find, but they're out there! They come from I35s exclusively, I believe. No idea how hard that is to get working.
4. If the center is just getting worn out, you may consider re-painting it. Apparently there is airbag paint out there that's made specifically for the purpose.
5. Since you have a Pathfinder and therefore a Nissan logo in the middle, the airbag from a similar year Maxima may suit you better:
