^ Welcome to NICO.

I would suggest Haltech or Apex'i units for plug and play standalones.

emanage isn't plug and play (last I checked at least). But I've heard good and bad things about it (mostly good).

an emanage can be "plug and play" if you buy the harness, but it isnt a stand alone. it a piggyback ecu. i agree with homeslicej2, get a haltech or apex'i power fc. those would be the best, i dont know if the haltech is plug and play, but the apex'i is. AEM also does a plug and play ecu but i have never messed with it nor the haltech. i have just heard very good things about the haltech. im personaly using an emanage blue and i love it. it does just about everything a true standalone can but a lot cheaper.

What are your goals with the car? The best thing to do is go looking at different setups, make a list of pros and cons about each, then fire up the ol' brain..

I can say from experience the power fc is amazing. I used the map and maf versions and both a great. The stock map is good, and runs like a stock computer. Get datalogit and get ready to tune some power into your ride.

wow one of my first posts. if you guys dont mind me asking; i have an A/T 1995 shell ready to undergo a 5spd swap. also have an s13 sr20det engine for it. with that being said, heres whate we needed help with: do i need the shells ecu and harness, spliced into a jdm harness? or do i need just a jdm hardness & jdm ecu?? my instructor at school is only an expert w/ old school american muscle... ...and im no wizard, so could anyone let us know which harness and ecu we need? by the way, we have a standalone from Simple Digital Systems (www.sdsefi.com) and we dont know exactly which sensors we need (some ppl i know claim that the CAS among others is unecessary b/c i have the sds, but but they dont belong to a forum like this one; i guess i dont really trust them).please help
