.

Or so I was told by a guy who works at D2 Autosport. Here was his email in reply form mine about getting staggered setup with Lorezno wheels and Autocouture wheels on the Q

"You can't go staggered on a Q45, I doubt the Lorenzo's would fit without modification and the Latives are about 6600 with tires"

I emailed him back a link to a Q45 on a website that has staggered setup with 21x8.5 in front and 21.10 in the back with Lowenhart wheels

http://www.streetconcepts1.com/flash/flash.html

(click cars, and then click infiniti)

Q's should be able to handle staggered setup like any other rear wheel car I would think. Any reason why Derricks seems to think otherwise??

They can for sure!!!! That's ridiculous! I'll find the name of who to ask for, they're a sponsor on VIP-culture, tell them you're calling off of that site and I'll get back with a name for you to ask for.

I appreciate your help Falk

here is the guy who i spoke to through email...and this was his last response to my inquiry about staggered setup.

"I'll give you a call and explain tomorrow, what's the best number and time to reach you?"

Sometimes people think that if it's not listed in a "guide book" published by a certain wheel manufacturer, that it won't fit... but they neglect to remember that those wheel fitments listed are usually limited to what that company actually offers. Here's a question for you: are you willing to get better quality wheels in better fitments than those lorenzos... for, believe it or not, a better price? Let me know...

There you go, see what OTG can do for you. Derrick is the guy who should know what's going on @ D2, he seems pretty knowledgeable on sizes and fit, but apparently not.

OTG, did you ever get the KYB's for Y33?

Yup, Y33 struts should acutally be either in US waters, or within a day or two of being so as of right now... gonna email a couple guys to let them know soon.

2005Q45: what sizes exactly did you have in mind? How extreme are you thinking of going (diameter and width/offset-wise)? And I assume you are looking for a dish-face type of wheel, correct? ... since you mentioned auto couture, amistad, and wald. My personal recommendation... is to stick to no larger than 20" in diameter, but go with a nice width and offset setup that gets those wheels flush with the fenders. Roll the fender lips, and make sure you get a nice stance, and you will have a car that will just confuse so many people... i'll scan a pic of my personal fave white F50 and post it in a bit...

i want to go with 20x 9 in the front and 20x11 in the back on deep dish wheels. I want a lip on the rim between 4-6 inches.

When I mentioned dish-face wheels, I meant specifically the design of the face of the wheels... like, do you want a 5 spoke, multi-spoke, mesh, dish-face (like the euroline DH wheel), etc. style? Also, how much tire stretching, fender rolling, and/or camber do you want to deal with? To fit an 11" wheel in the back, you will need to run at least a little bit of a stretched tire...i.e. nothing more than a 255 or so. I think it's worth going a little above and beyond the "status quo" to end up with something that no one's seen around here before... esp if you're willing to spend the $$Here's one of my fave F50s:

One ton, I'm really open to any kind of wheel but I do like the dish face wheels ...But they MUST have lips. Thanks for posting the pic of the white F50...I do like those wheels. What size do they come in? I also like the one you have on your Q in your sig.

I love those wheels on the white one!! I also really like Trafficstar RTS, I'll try to bring in the afEXE I piked up the other day with a super clean, black F50 running them and scan it. Here's the wheels at least though

I thought so, but the site I snagged them from had no wheel info listed ... that I could read.

I can't blow it up enough to read any of it well, I can read some of it, they're 20 inch, Behavior *something* GP. It's real hard to read the broken characters, but the brand is Behavior, model, I'm not sure of.

Wow. All these chrome wheels are sweet! You guys are making me think about Chroming my O.Z. wheels.

I thought 20 in wheels weren't so hot on any Q? Due to performance and safety right? Just curious if these Q's with 20 in wheels are everyday drivers? They sure look good!

There is no safety issue with running a high-quality 20" wheel on a Q.

The wheels on the white Q from VIPcar are definitely Behavior, the model is ES-01, but I was thrown off because they have an area around the center of the spokes that is hard to see on the white one because they painted it black on that car. This is the wheel right here:

Hmmmm.... I don't know!

I still think too much wheel showing. However IF you have to go with 20s, these are probably the most appropriate since they are infiniti.

19s would be ideal I think.

Here's what 19s look like on a Q (G50).

Or what about this one for your (F50) Q. I like the balance of this one.

The wheels on my car (see sig) are also 19's, IMO, the perfect size for the Y33. The wheels on that Impul F50 look like 18's and they look small. The F50 has huge sides, so larger wheels fit it well, 20's look good, 19's look good too, 19 or 20, not larger, not smaller.
