Greg, I am truely saddened by this news. I know what it's like to lose a loved one, but to lose your life partner...it just doesn't hit home for me like it does for you.

You helped me out in my time of need 2 years ago. I have your back now buddy, even way over here in Japan.

God bless you and your family, and may He always shine light on your path.

OMG!!! Greg, I am so sorry for your loss. Stacey was an amazing woman and mother. She will be missed :-( I have been out of the loop for so long I had no idea she was still battling the cancer. We need to catch up sometime and remember the good times. Let me know if you need anything.

I remember around thanksgiving Greg and Stacey would always offer up their house to everyone on our local boards who didn't have family to go to. We used to have tech days once a month or two to help do motor installs, minor parts installs, etc. While the guys were arms deep into thier chassis, Stacey would always be at the grill BBQing. When I went to their house for the first time Stacey was piling the kids into her G20 to get them to their games. As she drove away Greg would tell us how much of a speed demon she was and how people would call him and tell him how they saw her hauling down the road. Their home was always open, and they were both always there. Now times have changed and it is our turn to return the favor to you and the kids Greg. My house is always open, and I am always just a phone call away. If you ever need some brownies, amazing BBQ, etc...its only a drive away. I am very sorry to hear she has passed but I am thankful she is at peace and is no longer suffering. My deepest condolences are with you and everyone she has touched!

Like everyone else here Greg, I'm so sorry for your loss. It was my birthday yesterday and usually i go out and celebrate and get crazy, but i had this weird feeling and just decided to stay home. I think that feeling was Stacey trying to keep me safe.

If i can be of any help to you and your family, just let me know. You'll get through this!

Lord God heavenly father, we come to you today both in mourning and thanksgiving. We mourn not for Stacey, who is now free of pain, but for all those who were a part of her life; especially Greg, Hunter, Darian and Saraya. Grant them the comfort that only You can offer, the comfort of eternal life and salvation through Your Son. May your guardian angels watch over them and protect them. Greg, Hunter, Darian, and Saraya: May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you. May the Lord lift up His countenance upon you, and give you His peace. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

I was honored to meet Stacey last year at NOPI. Its one thing when its just this arbitrary person, but when its someone you actually know, shook hands with, sold Tshirts with, and so on, it hits a lot differently...

Just remember Greg, the big guy upstairs knows what he's doing.

I know it was a painful battle for everyone involved, so I hope you can find peace somewhere in the following weeks. We are still your family, but indeed NICO is your secondary family. Do whats most important first, we'll keep your spot in the bed warm...

i saw the subtle change to the top of the website this morning. my first thoughts: "oh no. i hope that wasn't nico-mom."

i open the gen-chat, which i don't frequent and saw the stickied post...

Greg, i'm so very sorry for your loss. be strong for your children, but be sure to take the time to mourn. when you start to feel overwhelmed, remember the blessing of companionship, love, and motherhood that stacey graced you with. be thankful that you had her for as long as you did. it's never easy to loose a loved one, but it's something we'll all have to deal with at some point in time.

you've got a HUGE support group here at nico and make sure to use it if needed! we're there for you!

Dear Lord, please be with Greg, Hunter, Darian, Saraya, and the rest of the family at this time and send them your peace. Please give them a spirit of comfort. Lord, we know that you won't give us more than we can handle. I pray that you'll give Greg the strength and understanding he'll need to help him deal with this situation.

Father, please help the Childs family to remember the love, companionship, service, and greatness that Stacey shared with her family. I pray that Stacey knew your Son so that she is spending the rest of eternity in heaven - free of pain, free of struggle, free of sorrow. I pray that she can look forward to seeing her family again one day.

We thank you for the time she was allowed to spend with us here on Earth. We thank you for the inspiration she was to Greg and the support she gave him. We thank you for the kindness that you allowed her to share to those she came in contact with.

Dear God, please lead in this time of sorrow. Comfort us.

I ask these things and pray in Jesus's name.

Amen

Greg, so sorry to hear. Had just heard this weekend that it had come back, didn't have a clue.

If you need anything that I can do let me know. I lost my mom at 18 and its not anything I wish on anyone. Your kids have a tough journey ahead of them, but I'm sure you can help them through.

Yall are in my thoughts and prayers.

We will be building a picture section off of the http://www.staceychilds.com memorial page and I would like to take this time to request pictures that you may have. Nothing other than a Rememberance thread would do. If you do not have pictures but would like to talk about Stacey in general that would work well too.

Please post images no larger than 800 wide here or use a service to shrink them down. I will gladly take all non-resized images via eMail to make things easier for me to work with when adding to the website.
