that is damn quick for a 6000lb truck.

Yeah, I saw that issue, but I also saw 3 of them at the track and the best any of them could pull was a 15.9. I was somewhat dissappointed. I hope this truck wasn't meant to compete with a lightning.

I think that it was.. In style i prefer the SS.. but it doesnt come close to out preforming the lightning. Now a supercharged SS...

If he's an auto I doubt the truck will have any problem with wheelspin. My dad's Silverado 1500 can chirp the tires a little if I brake-rev it but thats about it. It plants quite well and gets through first gear in a hurry. I still dont think the 240 will have too hard a time though.

a little late here, but just go buy a suzuki hayabusa. that thing managed to pull a 9.581 at 160mph or so in the 1/4 mile bone stock. i guarantee that would rip that silverado a new a$$hole. and its not a mod, right? as you just decided to go with a different vehicle. he didnt say he wanted to race your CAR, he just said he wanted to race YOU. am i right? (if so, go drop the most incredibly worth it 12 grand youve ever spent. then make him do the body work on your car in a skirt just to spite him, haha.

I had to wear a skirt once...... I lost a bet with my girl and I had to wear one to a costume party. Bad thing is, my girl and some of her friends got together and asked me to come sit with them. They were sitting on the living room floor at the party, so when I sat down (not knowing the proper dress behavior) I sat down indian style. They all kept a striaght face while they talked to me for a few minutes, but then I caught one looking and I realized that I was showing them all that I had to offer. So I had to get Amber back......... but that's another story:D

I've taken an 03 Silverado from about a 5mph roll.

Granted, I'm far from stock, but with your turbo you shouldnt have an issue.

Because of my lack of bottom end torque, I have to rap it up alittle to pull from a light... when I did, he assumed I was racing him...

I saw his front lift when he got on it. I simply mashed the throttle and held it from 1st. I'll admit that it was a good run in 1st and 1/2 way through 2nd but it was over after that as I steadily pulled him half way through 3rd. At the next light he was respectful and admitted that he had a 6000 Vortec.

I imagine if we could of have had an agreed upon launch, lol, I would of had him sooner... instead of leaving the light at 2500rpm I would of left at 4500. But with that said, he could of did a Line stand against the torque converter... so I guess it is what it is.

That truck is heavy and even with his high HP/TQ he'll still have that power to weight ratio hanging around his neck.
