Has anyone everseen an SR20VET swapped into a 240sx in the states, and, is it even possible? If anyone knows about this engine extensively, please tell! I know it has like 275 hp and is used in the jdm xterra and has like variable valve timing or something, but please tell about it!

SR20VET??? that's a new one to me.....are you sure on the name? i'm pretty sure the xterra uses a V6 and it's more than a 2.0 Litre....i think you got something mixed up....and Nissan's VVT isn't what it's cracked up to be...i believe they got something better that makes VTEC look like s***....

and why do you say "nissans vvt isnt what its cracked up to be"????

And it shouldnt be compared to VTEC since they are two different things......

Isn't the VET a FWD version only? It's a pretty potent machine, 280HP out of the box, IIRC.

Hmm, I could have sworn that someone here was saying that it was FWD version only, i know the XTerras are RWD... anyways, I don't know anything about the VET except that it appears to be a good motor.

According to THIS Article, the truck is FWD mainly, and then splits to the rear, similar to a Ford Escape. This COULD be a GREAT upgrade for us FWD guys.....would love to find a pic of the way the motor is setting under the hood.....(runs back to do more GOOGLE searchs!!!)

http://photos.yahoo.com/bc/sho....com/ some pics there... again, looks to sit FWD way, and as stated- acts like the honda crv, where its mostly fwd, and the rear is added as the 4wd which = ****ty differential for power if you are considering going rwd with it
