go to http://www.realnissan.com They have full turbo kits for Ka24e and ka24de. They have 9 second Ka24e's posted on there website. Personally I'd rather build a N/A Ka24e converted from EFI to 44mm Mikuni carburetors. Remember, power isn't everything, it's about balance.

I have to disagree with the arguement that for the money to get a KA turbocharged is cheaper than getting an SR20DETI got my motor for 2200(clip) 550 for shipping, now my understanding is that the turbo kit is just under 4k so lets say 3,800. I've already saved about 1000 dollars that I can put into mods. And that could be full 3" exhaust, an intake, walbro fuel pump, and boost controller. turn up boost 3lbs (with the assumption 1lbs =10 hp) and the 3" exhaust would give about 20, so that's about 255 to the crank at sealevel already. Then after the KA is being built to take more boost. I'll be buying a big intercooler (800) running more boost. Definatly better with money efficiancy there.

yeah you can get a expensive kit, but most people go custom.

these are rough figures, some people maybe able to get parts cheaper.

turbo and manifold = 1000ecu = 500intercooler and piping = 500injectors = 300then id say 200 misc parts

so around 2500-3000 you got a basic turbo kit for the KA.then from there, you choose whether to get it built to take more boost.

what does this comment mean?????

big block chevy/ford/dodge is a truck engine

when you want more power (torque) you make a bigger engine.

ps-anyone notice 4 cyl all getting bigger(1.6-1.8-2.0-2.2-2.4) v-8 getting smaller (450+350ish-280s)HOW LONG BEFORE ALL ENGINES ARE SAME SIZE REGARDLESS OF DESIGN?

I really don’t think the KA is a truck motor since a Nissan car got it first. The KA is just big as hell making it a nice motor to turbo. So what the rods and pistons fall a little short. Changing the rods and pistons are not all that hard it just takes a little cash, well ok a lot of cash but the KA head is so indestructible not to mention how strong the crank and block are. Many times guys on this forum have taken the KA to very impressive HP on stock internals at somewhat low boost. If you want a motor that will come off the line like a "raped ape" go with a KA. If you want high end HP go with a SR both are good motors. Personally I like to come off the line with front tires off the ground I don’t think an SR will get me that a KAT just might!
