dang, my bad, your 240 is off the chain. but lets just keep this on the real, im not a ricer, as far as im concerned, show cars are just as gay or gayer than ****tangs. bid 8 foot spoilers and 20's and crazy oragami-style bodykits are for ball-less ****** how are scared to go fast. so now i know ur not a ricer, so my fault.

BTW, what kind of turbo and intercooler setup are you running?i dunno if you ever heard of this company, but its called gp-sports and they have a turbo kit for the SR20DET. they tested on a stock motor and got 327ps (about 310- 315hp) out of it. check it out, congrats on smokin that stang in the vis- i hate those things.

This is what I got out of it:

S14 Blacktop has VVT and a slightly larger turbo. It is suitable for basic mods, but any major internal work go with the s13 motor.

S13 Red vs S13 Black, well I can't really deduce which is better since everyone contradicts each other every freaking post...

haha, maybe one day you guys will read this and laugh...

when you are looking for parts to put on..how do the manufacturers differentiate betweeen models? thats right, s13,s14,s15. implies that there are differences between them, but not between the redtop and blacktop s13.i won't speak for the s14 ,but on the S15 the VTC engages between 2200and 4000rpm advancing the intake cam 20degrees.this increases overlap duration from 1degree(VTCoff) to 21degrees (VTCon)add it all you get more torque. and there's really no reason that you can't build a VTC motor the same as you would a nonVTC motor. it's just cheaper to start with an s13.

creophus wrote:You're joking about the size of the turbo's right? And yeah, the VTC (Variable Timing Control) is only on one side. I think it's the intake side. I decided on the S14 motor btw and so far I love it!

P.S. Did I mention that I have Cruise Control on my SR powered S14??
whats dificult about getting the cruise to work anyway? did XAT say anything about it? seems pretty straight forward to me.i have all the parts i just haven't reinstalled them yet.

More pix of my car here, you can see the intercooler setup pretty good. It's a big hybrid intercooler with custom piping, you can see it all pretty good in the pix. I'm running the stock turbo right now. I used to run it at 10/12psi (low/high boost) but my BOV is leaking so now I only run stock boost. Which is plenty for me to smoke most cars.

I've actually lost to a Turbo Civic, 90s Supercharged Mustang, and a new Mustang Cobra. The new cobra and I were pretty much even, but he had a car full of people so I still consiter that a loss. He has some more of mods though, at least exhaust.

Well after you install it, let me know if it gave you any trouble. Also what engine are you installing into what chasis?
