Is that why Top Secret put an RB26DETT into a supra? Putting a 2jz into an r34 gtr would really be pointless since you would lose the AWD so then you're back where you were with the supra.

Talking about getting power out of the vh45, you may have already seen it but someone here has put a vh45 into an r33 skyline and supercharged it. He's running ~400rwhp @10psi on an unopened motor and he's run 11.56 @ 118mph. That was on slicks though but still a very good time.

Yeah, just because some company did it means it's the perfect swap and everything else is wrong...

The RB is just like the SR: everyone worships it for it's JDM tyteness. The 2JZ is readily available in america, so it's not as "cool." THAT is probably why Top Secret did that swap.

Note the repeated use of the word OPINION, and the clarification of the differences between the motors.

Also, I tend to prefer RWD to AWD. Plus, if it were really a big deal, one could fab up parts to use existing strong transfer cases on the back of a good Toyota trans.
