yeah, the 318ti had the 4cyl motor as well, they probly did the sr swap just to do something different.... m3s are a dime a dozen in some other parts of the world...

lets see, expensive 1.8L NA ~115whp or cheap 2L turbo ~175whp? what would you chose?

or at least that would totally justify the swap i think :D

Yeah, I used to sell supercharger kits for the E36 318's. A $3500 for the kit, my STOCK 98 se-r was still faster than a supercharged 318/Z3.

How long has he had it? I might have sold it to him LOL.

Mid to low 15's is being optimistic. I would say high 15's/low 16's.

the Downing Atlanta s/c'd 318ti and AA Stage I-II Turbo Iding Power MS3:D (E36 M3 Tuned by Iding Power, a Japanese BMW tuner no longer in business, the car's kit/paint/wheels came like that from the factory where it was desgined and tested in a wind tunnel, o yeah, the whole kit is carbon fiber and the the wing is completely molded to the body lines so if you are directly behind it or in front of the car, u cant see it (FOR REAL)...o yeah, magnesium pedals/strut bar and BBS wheels....)

the best car for the that swap is the e30 318is. It has the e30 M3 suspension and is a LOT cheaper. And that thing is LIGHT:)
