sr20 making a really bad noise

so i left my car ideling for about 25 minutes and forgot to turn the fan off i noticed a small amount of smoke and releized what i did so i turned the fan on andi cooled right down the car runs fine but the turbo is really load now and it makes a weird noise it runs strong and still boost but its just a really load bad sound that im kind of worried about any suggestions

What kind of noise? Clicking? Poping? Grinding?

it sounds kind of like a clicking ticking noise coming fom the turbo side of the car it dosn't do it in any gear at any rpm until the boost gauge starts to show boost even 1 psi and then it starts making this noise
