did you send the harness out to have it rewired? because the biggest thing is when you just drop the motor in and hook it up it will turn over with no problem, there are a few different pin outs on the ecu and wiring. i would send it out to wiring specialties to have it wired if you haven't already done that. because without it be wired you will have no spark!!!!

You said the exhaust smelled of fuel, thats one down.

Do you have spark?Do you have compression? It the electrical/mechanical timing set properly?

Check for those and get back to us.

You are running super rich.

What is your fuel pressure? What injectors are you running? Which MAFS do you have? Are you running a stock tune? Do you have a factory FPR, or an aftermarket one? What fuel pump do you have?

..alright..the knocking stopped it had 5w 30 oili changed it today to 10w 30and the knocking stopped ..but now it has mean vacuum leaks..just idling i can hear the air filter sucking in air..and when i rev it its delayed by 2-3 seconds. and the bov(stock) blows really loud and lots of air.

on the vacuum/boost gauge it reads 5 for vacuum(ima post pics tomorrow got a video but the audio is very crappy

on the other hand..its all stockstock sr injectors..SMIC but idk my fuel pressure..factory FPRand ka24e maf

ok, different weight oil solved the knocking? that doesn't sound right...

What fuel pump are you running? if you're running stock i suggest upgrading to the walbro 255lph pump and getting an adjustable fuel pressure regulator with a gauge. I believe stock fuel pressure should be 36psi at idle, so set it to that.

Now if you're only pulling 5lbs of vacuum at idle you most likely have a big boost leak. Check over all you couplers and everything, including the hose that goes to your brake booster, boost gauge itself, and the lines to the FPR and Bov. A boost leak will definitely make your car run rich and even cause it to stumble badly if its a big enough leak.

Get a pick of your stock bov set up, im curious.

With a stock SMIC a high volume fuel pump is not necessary, though I would not recommend anything more than stock boost with your setup.

You should be pulling about 20 in/hg of vacuum. It definitly sounds like you have some vacuum/boost leaks, I would take some time to fix all of those, then get back to us.

here is a picture of the bov..and it leads to this..dont know if its rite though

so then i tried fixing the vacuume lines rechecked everything and i found this..dont know wat hooks up to the FPRand do i need the air canister

for the timing chain i got this

i didnt get a pic of the CAS but when i put it all back together it was timed..then when i started the knocking came back and i had 11 in/hg reading on the vacuume gauge. and it backfires

ive done this about 5 times and it still goes bad somehow.

The FPR needs to be connected to one of the vacuum nipples on the manifold.
