I have a drivability problem that I just cant figure out. sr20det redtop motor. runs and drives great. but when acceloration hard on full throttle once I get around and above 3000 rpm. Under full throttle it starts to misfire and buck pretty hard. I have tried replacing everything from coilpacks to ignitor chip. and when I replaced my fuel pump. it still did it for the first drive. but after that it stopped. car ran fine. pulled great. no missing at all. and now all the sudden it is back. so any info on what you think it might be would be great. I need to fix my problem ASAP because I just put my car for sale but I take pride in my cars and need to get this problem figured out before I sell my car. only other things I can think of is TPS or wiring to fuel pump or who knows what. any help is much appritiated

so can anybody give me any info on how I might be able to solve my problem?? I need it fixed asap. I also found out that there is something wrong with my timing. From what i previously have found out is that I need to set it at 15 deg BTDC which I was told is the second mark to the left. when I went to set it there it was way far to the right and in order to get it the that second mark I had to retard the CAS all the way and the car would bog out and start to die. so would anybody thing that this could be my problem? I also need help to find out why it would do this? mabye My CAS is bad. does anybod know how I can test my CAS?

did you unplug your TPS when you did it? did you use the timing loop on the coilpack harness for the timing light?

my car does this with bad fuel. the only company that i can trust for high octane is Shell. all other companies (or stations) have poor quality fuel or the tanks are getting water in them. try getting a new tank of GOOD gas, change the fuel filter, spark plugs and throw in a bottle of iso heat (water remover). also check your timing properly, according to the FSM.

am I supposed to unplug my tps when setting timing? I didnt know that I was supposed to do that. but I had this problem before and after putting a new fuel pump it stopped. but then it started again. my fuel filter isnt very old. I put a z32 fuel filter in about 6 months ago.

Proper spark plug hear range?

Proper spark plug gap?

Too much boost?

Boost leak?

Do you have any ECU codes?

yeah all these are fine. My car has run good on the very setup it is on now. it was more of a sudden problem. I have had this car for over a year now. so it hasnt alwasy been this this way. my spark plugs arnt gapable. they are ngk iridiums. same plugs I have always ran in my car.
