its a s13 sr with a t28 and hks wastegate on it. i have had the sr in the car for just over 3 thousand miles now and its alwats ran pretty strong ok so hears the problem first of all when i start it up its idles a little ruff, but not horible. then when i go to drive it it is only getting about 3 lbs of boost. when i pop the hood and unscrew the oil capp there is smoke comming out of the hole. I pulled of the turbo to check the turbo there is no/very very little shaft play anf no oil on the exaughst side. i put the turbo back on. and its doing the same thing.Any thoughts are helpfullIt was to late last night to work on it anymore. one thing my dad mentioned was possibly the head gasket .Ive done some searching on hear and other sites what i have found is. do a compression check 1st(will do in about 2 hrs when i get home)possibly piston rings, head gasket, valves, or im a retard and missed the oil on the exaughst side of the turbosorry for horrible grammer im at school trying to type this fastThanks for any help

I'm not really an expert at diagnosing problems especaully if I cant look at them first hand. If your head gasket is gone or your turbo seals you would know right away because you would be blowin more smoke than a cummins. The low amount of boost could be caused by your boost selenoid if you still have one. Your ECU could be in limp mode. Check all your sensor connections. Then unhook your battery to reset your ECU. If that doesnt help check all your vaccum lines because any leak can really screw stuff up.

check for boost/vacuum leaks, what are you seeing for vacuum on the boost gauge at idle
