Ok...here's my problem. The TPS is new, the coil packs are fine, the spark plugs are new, everything. My problem is that when I'm getting into boost, ANY amount, the car bucks and gets NO power, but builds boost slowly and backfires lightly. The BOV is recirculated and not leaking any. Checked the ECU for codes, getting 55 (no complications). The shop today told me that the CAS might be bad. This was because they took it apart and they said that the leads were pretty jacked up looking and that the rubber seal had been stretched over them. I'm also not getting any boost/vaccum leaks that I've been able to find. Any ideas, or does anyone have/had the same problem?

Check the gap on your plugs.

The gap is fine, and correct. Any other ideas? I'm going to pressurize the system today and see if I can REALLY find any leaks.

it does sound like a boost leak problem but a bad CAS could cause the same symtoms, its just less common

Its just strange because its not throwing any codes whatsoever...

I'm thinking walbro, but I'm going to have to see. I didn't do the swap to the car. But a bad fuel pump is definitely a good call! I'll be checking that out tomorrow as well.

I haven't checked but I'm beginning to think its the pump, although I don't know why that would cause a continuous misfire, even at idle. I filled the car up last night and it isn't on the full line, its a tiny bit below it, which is kinda weird. What are the signs of a nuked fuel pump/pressure reg?

Well I found a few leaks and repaired them as best I could. The gasket to the turbo inlet (elbow) had a few leaks, it needs replacing. Also, flange for the BOV was leaking as well as the IACV tube on both sides. I fixed the IACV, but I'm not able to fix the flange leak. Would a small leak at the flange cause such problems?

So I pulled the plugs and wow...they were blacker than hell. WTF is going on!? I'm about ready to torch it...

Replaced the plugs with new plugs gapped to .28 and the missing subsided a tiny bit, but barely noticeable. I'm really starting to think the CAS is trashed, but not bad enough to throw a code. I fixed all the boost leaks I had for the most part (minus the one on the BOV flange because I'm waiting on my new hotpipe/bov to arrive). I pressurized the system to 22psi that way ANYTHING weak would leak and be noticeable. *slams head in car door*!!!!

I also replaced the coolant temp sensor and that didn't fix anything either.

No my timing isn't off as far as I know. We set it and checked it like 4 times and its where its supposed to be. I don't know... this is such a headache! I had a few boost leaks, which would cause this issue. I also talked to the original owner of the car and he said that he had the same kind of problems when he had a BOV leak from one of the flanges used.... So I THINK thats my issue. I ordered a new hotpipe/BOV kit from Phase2...Hopefully it'll be in by next week. I'm also going to replace the o-rings on the injectors because I think they're leaking as well. At least when I prime the pump before start up for a few seconds the car doesn't want to start correctly....it gets REALLY jumpy and rough. However, if I just start the car it starts fine but then starts missing! YAY SR problems!

But anyway, hopefully the new bov and hotpipe will solve my issues, and I'm going to check the injectors/FPR on friday or saturday. I'm also going to order new lower rings for the injectors tomorrow and get those popped on. Might was well replace them if I'm pulling the rail to begin with right?
