Bleed the clutch more. Open the screw in the bleeder block located under the car bolted next to the bellhousing on the frame channel. It is between the master and slave.you should square away all known problems before troubleshooting more

Make sure you connect the park/neutral plug/sire together. The plug is beige and its two thick wires next to your fuse box on the passenger side. As far as for the clutch I do believe the maxima clutches work. I think the year is from 95 that they work.-Ricky

If the starter is engageing its not a wiring problem

ok. you need to bypass the surge tank on you clutch line. here is the link. http://www.nicoclub.com/articles.php?id=251959 it sounds like your clutch isnt engaging so it wont start.

Put the car in neutral and try turning the engine by hand from the crank pulley bolt. As for the clutch make sure fork is installed on the t.o.b correctly, pull the rubber cover off the side of the transmission and visually check. I also did an auto to 5-speed and it only took about a dozen pumps of the pedal to bleed it useing a one man bleeder. Fill the reservoir, put the cap on and hook up the bleeder. Check the fluid level every 5 pumps, when you need to add some close the bleeder valve before you open the cap. If your still not getting feed back from the pedal the master is probly screwed up even if it is new.

R u sure u can hear the starter actually try and engage? I would double and triple check your wiring to be sure that everything is proper from the auto to manual conversion. Here is a nice guidehttp://www.nicoclub.com/articles.php?id=183606

Why dont we clearly state this one more time that AUTOMATIC cars do not come wiht any clutch hardlines let alone the huge dampener.

17Wanting. Tell us what kind of line you have.

I understand this, however if he bought the entire line setup from a junkyard it would include the block. He hasent specified his setup. I know that those blocks can pose alot of problems bleeding clutchs.

Are you sure that your battery has a good charge?? It could be clicking cause your battery doesnt have the voltage to turn it over. Charge your battery up some and try.

If it doesn't start in neutral its not the clutch

I can start my auto to manual swap with clutch engaged. Maybe your starter is sh1t. That is possible.

So your starter is definately good? and you are SURE you spliced the neutral safety switch wires?

Spin the motor by hand to make sure that it isnt seized.Maybe your ignition swith is bad.

well i tried to spin the motor by hand but it was hard as hell and i couldn't do it.

also went over the ground wires all good even added a couple more.

but i trie to bleed the clutch again and it still stays to the floor i might take the m.c. off and take it back to the auto parts store.

im going to pull the transmission off and put a new clutch and pressure plate on along with a t.o.b an fork maybe it will solve my problem

well i messed around with it some more. and i think its the clutch because i can smell the fuel going to the engine and the starter is clicking real loud so i think im just going to replace the clutch kit and check the master cylinder and see whats going on with it after i do that i might do it tomorrow morning.

oh yeah another thing when i push the fork in to the slave cylinder the clutch pedal retracts so i think it might be the throw out bearing

thats one of the grounding straps, it grounds to the firewall. Look for a small (male) blade on the firewall within the reach of it and plug it in

From the pic it looks like oe of them is already plugged into the firewall, the other should go to the block then.
