Christ...

If you can't do an SR install off of the info on the internet, you shouldn't be considering an SR swap.

But for 12 bucks, I'd like to check it out and see what they have to say.

I wouldn't mind getting one and having a look. If I got an SR I would have to con one of my friends into doing the install, because I just dont have the patients to deal with a motor swap. I get irratated easily.

Why didn't one of the NICO members come up with this ideal??? It should have been one of use to be selling DVD's.

think about it. if you have to rely on some ebay scam to do this swap...that is pretty sad imo.

Some people are not mechanicly inclined. If this is, or if someone comes up with a good video for this install, it could be perfect for guys that don't do a lot of work on cars, that are wanting to get more involved with stuff like this.

Take me for example. I am the kind that has friends that are mechanics and car builders. I don't do any major work on cars, but I try to assist anytime I have them do something. Try to learn something. I would love to be able to work on cars more than what I can. I can change parts, tune ups, and oil changes, etc.

It just doesn't feel right to pay someone to do a motor swap. If I can't do it or do the majority of it, It makes me feel like I cheated.

I agree with you on not paying somebody or learning more, but honestly, you can learn all you need about how to install an SR by pulling the KA.

And to pull the KA, all you do is turn bolts, nuts and screws counterclockwise, then wrap a chain around it and pull it out.

At the VERY, ABSOLUTE least, you can save yourself 800-1300 bucks just by installing it yourself, then pay for the harness service.

That is what would get me the most, is doing the wiring and electrical. I would get pissed when I didn't get it hooked up and then it would sit in the shed for a few days until I decided to get it finished.

I e-mailed the guy and he said he didn't expect it to go up so high (its at $37 right now!!!!!) He said anyone who e-mails him he said he would sell it for $16 + $2 shipping? What do you think? I plan on doing a sr swap but the only thing i'm worried about is the harness. Do i need an uncut one or is there a way to get a cut one thats cut in the right place?

Man if your worried about what to do about the wiring harness, i would just pay for the service and save yourself some headachs. I would consider my self vary handy, and i know i can do the swap for the most part by myself, But im not gonna even think about messin with the wiring harness, thats one less thing that i gotta troble shot when the motor wont start. HAHA

you can send your sr and ka harnesses to heavy throttle or phase 2 and about 2 weeks later you get a compatible harness to plug and play for $100 plus shipping

Your on crack :D phase2 web site says 250-350 + shipping depending on motor / swap

I did my wiring myself, first time swap too. Just takes patience and know how to use the basics of a voltmeter and follow FSM DIRECTIONS when it comes to troubleshooting... its not rocket science.. but getting it done somewhere is very convinient

unstable does it for 100 to, but thats for s13 into s13 swap. Phase 2 is kinda expensive on parts in general, but i would still buy from them anyday of the week.

I agree with you. I have only done the basic **** to my car. I couldnt picture myself pulling an engine. After watching my engien get pulled yesterday...I "think" I could so it myself. As far as video, You can "see" how it is done. Where they hooked the chians..**** like that. 16 bucks..I would get it. Some people are visual learners. If I had attempted this myself..I would have liked to see at least one engine pulled before I tried mine.
