Hi,

As we all know ca has half counterweighted crank and as I understand its heavy flywheel with front crank pulley acts like a harmonic balancers. I'm thinking of using SR flywheel because of 240mm clutch diameter, but am aware of possible damage to bearings/crank due to dissbalance.Been searching for a long time, but could not find any information on crank and it's condition after hard usage.

So, am I paranoyed or crank dissbalance can do serious damage?

Any suggestions welcome.

Arnas.

There shouldn't be any problems from using an SR flywheel. The different flywheels would have no impact on any internal harmonic problems from the half counterweights.

I'm thinking this would fall under the fact that lightweight CA flywheels don't mess it up, so an SR flywheel shouldn't either... just my 2c

Yeah, maybe a mod could change that so I don't have to keep accidentally reading it. Hurts the brain. Reasonable question, unreasonable spelling.

search on Driftopia, as they have a writeup on how to do it.

zer...78436theres JUN and CUSCO flywheel link in this thread, which suprisingly aren't that expensive..there are CA18 clutches, there isn't any reason to switch to SR.

Sorry, it just aggravates me that the computer and forums give you a spell check option when your typing these and people don't use it
