Need to know relatively quickly whether or not 16x8 (+0 offset) will fit correctly with just a proper alignment by a shop - thanks guys

What do you mean properly?

You can fit them, but depending on tire size, ride height, and camber, a lot changes.

Im running 16x8 +10s with a 5mm spacer on my S14, they fit well, though my fenders are rolled, and Im running about 3 degrees of negative camber.

thats what I needed to know man - thanks for the info AND picture for comparison. I think I'm going to end up just getting a set of stockers - reccomendation on spacers on OE wheel to fit close to flush ( doesn't have to be on the money or anything - just less sunken in)

Honestly, I'd get 2 sets of rear Z32TT wheels or rear Z33 track/Annaversary wheels. You'd be either 16x8.5+33 all around or 18x8.5+33 all around. You could run a 7mm spacer w/o needing extended studs bringing you down to +26 offset.

BTW, 002's will look putrid on a Kouki and will make your car look trashy IMO...

Z33 wheels > Z32 wheels but tires will be more obviously. Isn't that one of the things you were focusing on?

Yessir - you are correct.

Thankfully I have a guy willing to trade his stock SE wheels (with newer tires) for my 18" enkei's (with bald tires) plus another 200.

Sounds fair to me - He's a fairly decent person and don't believe he's one out to endanger the 240.

Any call on a spacer to run with the SE wheel to get it a little further out there?

I would got with at least 30 mm. The S14 SEs sit pretty sunk, I believe they are 16x6.5 with like a +38 or +43.

Isn't that a bit much for a width of a spacer? Just wondering - still picking up on wheel/tire/handling stuff. . .

And this would require to run longer wheel studs, correct?

Yah, it is a pretty thick spacer.

There are 2 ways of running thick spacers. Either you can use extended wheels studs, or you can use whats called a bolt on spacer. It uses slim nuts to bolt to the factory studs, and it has its own studs on it, the wheel then bolts to these.

Pbm has some pretty fat 30mm spacers.Hub-centric too.

The only thing I wasn't sure about running big spacers like that is if they cause any damage to the hubs and/or wheel bearings.

I heard they do, so I've decided to stay away from using them.Plus, Don't you think it sounds a little silly to spend money on trying to make skinny stocks wheels flush?

Wait, wait, wait... so.... You'd rather trade your wheels + $200 for stock 16x6.5 and then spend most of that $200 buying 30mm spacers for all four? No offense, but that is retarded.

If you've got your heart set on 16's, get on ebay/craigslist/the classifieds/whatever and buy 4 16x8.5+35 300zx twin turbo wheels for cheap. Then buy some tires and sell your current setup. Done. 7mm spacer optional.

Running fat spacers is no more demanding on the wheel bearings then running low offset wheels.

Any time you move the center point of the contact patch away from the center line of the bearing you increase bearing wear due to the increased fulcrum.

Well seeing as I'm on a bind for time for getting the car on the ground running - I'm taking what I can get. And when I don't have to worry about shipping, and getting rid of the wheels on the car at the moment, it works out quite well.

Tires. Cheaper.

And I would say I'm getting a good deal. OE wheels. Newer tires. Trading for some Enkei's. With thread showing bald tires. That have a tire that I don't care to spend the 130 dollar at the least for.

The spacer idea was JUST an idea. But once again, nico has convinced me that would be the ricer move.

So. Stock wheels. New wheel bearings. New brakes in rear. No fix on the rear main yet. I need the car running for a few months before I decide to put it back on jackstands/lift.

That's understandable. I used to be in a similar situation. I bought some 17x7.5+crappy offset wheels & tires for $200 before I knew much about good wheels.

Then a friend came along and sold me his 16lbs 16x8.5+27 kosei K1's with tires for $300. I wanted to wait until I had coils to put them on cuz I was tired of looking at wheel gap.

Fast forward 1 year or so, some random guy wants my 17x7.5's for his s13! Go figure! I ended up trading them to him for a lightly used PS3 and putting on my Kosei's early.

Moral of the story: Rock what you got until you get what you really want or until someone makes you a deal you'd be retarded not to take.

Anyways, good luck with whatever route you chose...

PS... Suddenly, I realize... my s13 has never worn stock wheels in the 5 years I've owned it. It's on it's 4th set now...lol

I'll post some maybe on Wednesday after I break out the digi cam. The phone pics are retched. The wheel gap is terrible but the stance... lol... the stance is awesome... they're pretty close to flush already, but I put 30mm spacers in the back so they stick out like an inch and a half. I'm sure it'll look terrible to some, but I think it's hilarious for now...

And man! The difference that the lighter weight and wider track makes on performance!

Well - did the trade tonight - fit his car quite well, just picture the wheels in my sig on a kouki black. Looks a lot nicer than on my car - He just has to fix the fact he HAS NO BUMPER support.

So I now have 200 dolla and a set of SE wheels for the car. Seeing the stockers on the front remind me of the good ole days when the car was first purchased.

When I hadn't dug off and fell into the deep end with it
