Shortly after I did the timing chain recall, the car developed a leak. Turns out it is the power steering pump. It is on back order until mid-July. I don't think this is a common issue on these cars but I am glad that I purchased an extended warranty.lovemycarM35 wrote:what's going with your power steering pump is it something I just look out for
Thanks for your input. I have been paranoid listening out for any strange noises since I was convinced that the cold start-up noise was abnormal. Now I am hearing the AC compressor hum which will be soon corrected and recently the clicking noise. I guess I need to crank up the music and forget about the noises the M56 produces. Must say these noises don't belong in this class of car.infinitedrift wrote:Clicking noise I got my m45 and m56 in manual. It's the transmission. It's normal. Usually as slower speeds.

I'm sure I can get something cheaper then that wowFrog wrote:I have. 11 m56s with 58k. I just called the car check for a quote. For a 3 year 100k coverage they quotes 4200$ that's a lot of cash. If the transmission goes I'll just trade her in. At that price. Anyone else finding better deals
