Shortly after I did the timing chain recall, the car developed a leak. Turns out it is the power steering pump. It is on back order until mid-July. I don't think this is a common issue on these cars but I am glad that I purchased an extended warranty.

Clicking noise I got my m45 and m56 in manual. It's the transmission. It's normal. Usually as slower speeds.

Thanks for your input. I have been paranoid listening out for any strange noises since I was convinced that the cold start-up noise was abnormal. Now I am hearing the AC compressor hum which will be soon corrected and recently the clicking noise. I guess I need to crank up the music and forget about the noises the M56 produces. Must say these noises don't belong in this class of car.

I'm glad you mentioned extended warranty, my warranty is up in Jan 2017, I'm looking to get something to cover me any recommendations? without braking the bank

Thanks,

I have. 11 m56s with 58k. I just called the car check for a quote. For a 3 year 100k coverage they quotes 4200$ that's a lot of cash. If the transmission goes I'll just trade her in. At that price. Anyone else finding better deals

I'm in Canada and I bought Infiniti's Platinum plan which extends the bumper to bumper and powertrain warranty to 84 months. My car is covered until Aug. 2018. It cost me $2400.

I just fix things as they break. So far I bought the car in pretty good shape, spent $1100 on preventative and general maintenance (all fluids, filters, brake pads and rotors, PCV valves, and fix the rain sensor gel) and I suspect that will be it for a while. I've never owned a car with warranty and won't start now.

I like sport mode in highway traffic for the throttle and brake increase but feels a little too eager in normal city driving, although I liked it during the test drive. Eco sucks and isn't good for anything. Manual mode feels cumbersome and pointless for anything except steep hills and mountain driving, and I drive a manual normally. I'm sure the 5.6 has better grunt in the lower RPMS but the 3.7 needs to rev a little to get it.

I heard the click when stomping on it, hopen that is the same normal click you guys are talking about.
