There is no difference in the usdm kouki's LE, SE or base .. they are all the same as in this top pic ...

the front end spooled is running is the JDM front bumper ...

Quick question: Why is there two different bumber types on koukis? SE v. LE v. Base, 97 v. 98 or what/why?

anyways man car looks brutal to the max, and goodluck with future builds and stuff....

Pull hard, ka-t ftmfw!!!!
haha yep this thing is a torque monster, the first time I felt the hard pull I thought it was going to tear motor mounts or snap something lol

Gawd with this new vlsd and my potenza 245/45's in back my car launches like a freakin subie haha. Now I have to race my buddy's STI

I just installed my q45 front brakes a few hours ago, and they look pretty sweet! I can't wait to test them out, here's some pics.

Old tiny brakes:

New brakes: It's basically the NISMO brake upgrade for the 240sx.Rotors are about 60% larger than stock rotors and a lot thicker.

*INSTALLED, painted them gold like the rears.

Just having some fun taking pics in the dark:

Nice set up dude! Very clean.

Im in the middle of a 1991 ka24de build. Everything has been cleaned/ replaced and I want to go with about the same set up, because like you I'm also a full time student (for automotive tech) and I don't have the money for forged internals. I just wanted to know, and yes I've done ALOT of research but never asked any questions on nico about my build. What gap are you using on your rings? Did you bore out or just hone out the cylinders, or did you have a machine shop do all the basic stuff for your block and head? Another reason I'm asking is because the compression ratio on the 91-93 ka24de is 9.0:1 yours is either 9.8:1 or 9.5:1 for the 2nd gen

I used MS Paint to get rid of the date on that picture, then set it as my desktop background. Centered with a black backdrop.... Beautiful.

thanks man, I didn't touch the internals so everything inside the engine is the way it rolled off the assembly line. I didn't do a compression check but I knew my engine was healthy and not burning any oil at all really.

Since you've had this for some time, how has the reliability of it been and how hard are you on the car?

I've been contemplating going KAT since I have a 70k mile motor in the car, but I know even with it as a daily I'd have to get into every single day.

Awesome work btw

i drive it every single day and I commute about 360 freeway miles a week. I usually take it easy but there are times when I do beat on it through canyons or drifting with a glowing orange manifold afterwards

But everything has been great to say the least

he wants a grand for them but i could prob. talk him down to like 800 wheels and tires, and if you know wheels that is EXTREMLY CHEAP for ssr's, i dont even think they make the kreis's anymore.
