I am looking at buying a spoiler for my 09 Rogue that is painted black. Does anyone have any good sources where I can get one painted for a good price?

Okay I found one painted for $99.00 which seems pretty cheap. Has anyone ordered one from this site http://www.carid.com/2009-nissan-rogue- ... 53459.html and does it look like the factory spoiler from the Canadian models?

Ebay has a bunch for around 100$ with shipping included and will paint it to match.

I am a little skeptical of Ebay especially for an OEM spoiler. Has anyone purchased an OEM spoiler painted from Ebay and got a decent product for $100.00? I would still like to know if anyone purchased one through Carid or anywhere else online?

Cannot afford one from Nissan right now. If it says OEM shouldn't it be the same as factory?

Then why don't you just live without the spoiler?

I have been living without the spoiler for 2 years. All I am looking for is an OEM spoiler that costs less then the factory and if any members here purchased one that was worth buying and that fits properly.

I have seen the OEM spoiler on line for $168 which is about a hundred under list price. I also have been putting it off, my local dealer went down to $200 after some negotiations. So on line with shipping it is about $180. Or I could pick one up locally for $20 more. The thing holding me back is I really like the Canadian version better.

I don't think it is a scam. Wish I had the perfect timing but I already got one.

The reason it's not a scam is because those spoilers were technically for 2008-2010 model. Since the 2011 has a different version, I am not surprise somebody is trying to sell it at this price.

Obviously nobody is buying a new model for the years 2008-2010. Moreover, everybody with the 2008-2010 either has a spoiler by now or never wanted one.

As they say, it is best to wait til the price gets low. So yes, this is a great opportunity for the next 5 people out there. Remember, he has 1 of each color.

Time is running out. Ummm, I am not relaated to the seller, just know a great deal when I see one. :mike

My dealer wanted $150 I am going to check on the other local dealer. My coworker's cousin was going to install mine, but changed his mind after looking at it. I think $150 is too much, but I want it done right. It came new in original box all sealed. Looks perfect.

Congrats I have been veryyyy lazy to install, but really you should have installed it yourself 4 holes a little touch up paint you could have saved $100. No big deal I bet it looks great man I have to step it up and install this bad boy.

Considering I saved about $150 I feel like it was worth it. I thought about installing it but the with the anti rust warnings about orange spots dripping later on if the anti rust stuff was not used made me think twice. I do think it looks good. I think I will take the cross bars off next.

Probably the reason I installed it myself because I felt that the people in the dealership would not be as detailed and just stick the spoiler on without the rust prevention. You know how some people cut corners. All I did was paint the holes, with black paint no less since you would not see them anyway.

That is the reason I did not install it myself. The black paint for the holes was a good idea and I would not have thought of that. I even have touch up paint I could have used.

Well I installed the spoiler this weekend and 2 things that happened. 1 the spoiler is off about 1/16" to 1/8" off center, I could have fixed this by making the holes a bit bigger but was in a rush. 2nd thing is the hole on the passanger side had to be bigger due to the holes didn't match up so what happened was when I was drilling the whole bigger I hit the rubber grommet and teared it all up so I have to buy a new one the water line got a bit scraped up.

All in all it looks great now my girlfriend said it makes the car look smaller :slap:

Yah, even with the template, you STILL have to make the holes bigger here and there. I never got it perfect where the left side is not perfectly against the car. But it looks good enough. Still solid.

I thought the opposite, the Rogue looks BIGGER with the spoiler from the side. It makes the top rear end look longer if you know what I mean.

One last thing, I once saw a Rogue with no spoiler, tint, or roof racks. A basic Rogue and THAT looked really small to the eye. I was really surprised how puny it looked which I do not prefer. Like a little compact car almost, something like a Matrix but higher.

I never really noticed how small the Rogue was until I owned it for awhile. Usually, I like middle sized cars which is why I added all these exterior stuff to make it look bigger than it really is. Like tubes all-around, roofrack, vent visors, moonroof deflector, spoiler, etc. I am sure my vehicle weighs around 3500-3600 lbs now which makes me feel like I have a somewhat sturdy vehicle.

I am having Nissan install my spoiler this week. When they drill the holes I know they need to put rustproof and touch up paint so it does not rust. I am wondering if I should get them to put silicone around the bolts as well? I don't want to have any trouble with water leaks later on. Also I am wondering if the dealers will guarantee the work if I get rust or leaks in the future?
