it's been a while since i made the austin to houstin run, but i remember it being a long haul. like a 5 hour drive.Juujai wrote:thread jack...
how is splparts.com anyway right now
they're in austin texas i believe and hurricane rita is about to hit houston which is not too far from austin...??
that's not what I meant.. but yea, the first ones are good but the second ones you posted are more solid since it replaces the rubber bushings completely.Loveless wrote:
what does that suppose to mean?
are you saying that this is hollow and so so good as these?
didn't someone on this forum asid cutting/burning the old bushing off resulted in rusting in the long run?
Its far more complicated than that. you have to remove the whole subframe, and torch, cut, saw for hours to get the old bushings out before you can wack the new ones in. There is a writeup on here somewhere.grimple1 wrote:They say to freeze the solid bushings for about an hour and they'll fit right in the hole.... since metal contracts when it's cold and expands when hot.
