LOL you misinterpited me. I dont mean 350 cost wise. I mean 350z storage lid operation. Meaning I want to try to install the storage lid motors and switches for it to operate like the 350Z's cover. However the 350 has more voids then the 240 and space may be a problem. I dont expect my complete set up to be less then $1K in parts alone.

motorizing it would be expensive and extremely difficult... linear actuators would probably be a much easier way to accomplish the same... I thought about it but with the realization that I'd eventually like to install a rollbar I didn't think the investment would be worth it.

If your going a full roll cage then no you wouldnt even wanna try. I dont plan to cover my whole back seat with the cover. only where the boot sits.

I plan on covering the whole rear seat, thats why its called a speedster cover. one to just cover the boot would be... a boot cover and our cars came with those stock.having a roll bar and no top makes it that much more important to seal off the back since I won't be using it anymore.

I totally understand man. If I didnt have 2 kids that love to ride in dads car that back seat would be long gone.

my recaro has custom brackets that slide it back farther than the stock one... and you know how little room there was back there with the stock one all the way back! after I got rid of the door bars and installed the harnesses I never looked back. I don't hate anyone enough to stick em in the back of the vert
