You guys are doing great!
1. Direct overhead cam designs are better because: a. less moving parts b. speeddoctor says so c. less valve-float at high RPMs d. all of the above
2. High speed aerodynamic drag increases with increase in speed by a factor of a. X x 2 b. X to the fourth power c. x to the second power d. non of the above
3. When Mr. K. took his first L.A freeway test drive in a Bluebird sedan, what was he most concerned about after his aborted trip?
Good Luck!
1) I think there are less moving parts. Pushrods are eliminating. And there is less valve float. Gotta go with d) all of the above
2) Semi truck mfg'ers were not concerned with aerodynamics for decades. And my Teg goes as fast as a limited F150. I know drag has to increase by a factor of speed. I'm going with b) x^4 though I should go with the popular x^2
3) Brakes... with a turbo'd Stanza, I'd be most worried about stopping in LA traffic. I dont know why I'm thinking a Bluebird is a Stanza when it had a SR20. Its not a Sentra...
Dr. Rex, have you given up the surgical game yet? You should teach automotive history when you retire.
