I crashed going around 90+MPH rolled my crx 3 times. 2 in mid air clearing a 6 foot privacy fence and the other roll in the house's back yard. It happened while racing a 95ish 3 series bmw on a 50 mph rode. I guess he didn't like me dogging him with my zc powerd crx so he swirved into me. I have no recolection of even racing the beamer, but know what happened because my girlfriend was behind me in her car...Man, all that drama I caused her.

Someone up above must really like me because 4 hours later I woke up in the hospitol with only a concusion with mild scrapes and bruises. To give you an idea of the car damage, through a big hole in my transmision, you could see my fly wheel . The roof was so low that the driver set would stop at the roof when inclined (the seat was layed flat from the crash). The motor mounts were torn. A.C. compressor broke off. All windows accept windshield broken. No single body part was salvagable.

I never tried finding the beamer guy for any type of vengance. It was stupid street racing in the first place. I am just glad to still be alive.

That was the second time a beamer owner swirved into me in a race. Probably just bad luck.

Wow... Some crazy stuff... I've been in a total of 4 or five accidents in cars that I've been driving, none of which were my fault. My worst one was at about 60 MPH in my J30 (messed up a perfectly good car). It was raining hard for an entire weekend, and it was only lightly raining (compared to the previous monsoon-like weather) when I was on my way home from a friend's house. At about 1 AM, I was driving in the lane next to the fast lane on the highway, and a semi decides to come right up next to me in the lane to my left. God knows neither of us could see the lines in the road and I didn't want to get too close to him, so I got into the fast lane. I was doing about 60 when I come around a bend in the highway underneath a bridge. Water was pouring off of the bridge, falling onto the highway, and made a huge puddle in the fast lane (there were drains there, but they were backed up from all the water St. Louis got that weekend). My front wheels hit, I fishtailed slightly to the left, gained control for a split second, back wheels hit, I tried to keep a constand RPM, let off the gas when I started sliding, did a 180 in one dirrection, hit the wall to my left (actually, it was right at that moment), that caused me to do a 360, I hit the wall again on my left rear, and slid backwards in the fast lane in the rain for about 200 feet... Going about 40! God, I'll tell ya, that thing held together so well, cause I hit the wall harder than you can imagine and no windows broke... The CD player didn't even skip! Well, I had to start the car back up again (it turned off cause I was in drive doing 40 backwards, lol), and drove it home with the rear wheels pointing in opposite dirrections b/c i bent a control arm... Sheesh... Call that a bad night! I never heard a car make so many noises while driving home...

50 MPH, fully sideways in a drift, both front tires unseat the beads. July 96' Turbo magazine letters page, quite heinous:D

I had just finished replacing my turbo on the 280 (i blew the 1st one up). My speedo only went up to 85 and I reached that in 4th gear I was in 5th almost at redline (6700) and a truck was going like 40 (speed limit was 65) I had plenty of room to stop but when I applied the brakes it shot acrossed the road and into the ditch rolled it twice. Pulled the car outta the ditch before the cops rolled around. Hit a tree with my friend a week later. He didnt have a seat beat on either he broke the steering column in half when he hit it. I walked away from both crashes with out a scatch. I don't like speeding on roads any more only at the dragstrip now.

i came around a corner in my 89 Probe GT (mmmm...turbo...mmmm....booosttttt) and i usually took this corner at about 50mph, even though it's a REALLY tight corner, but i was feeling adventurous, and decided to go for 55mph.

Whoopsie

There was gravel on the road that night, and my i slid over into the other lane, then just as i was about to turn my wheels straight again, they gripped and i shot off sideways into a corn field where a telephone jumped out and grabbed my car by the B pillar.

Car was T-R-A-S-H-E-D.

Couldn't find the sunroof, i had cuts on my arm, and an eyeful of dirt. We thought my arm went through the sunroof from the cuts (turns out i found the glass intact a week later in the field.

Cop asks if i was wearing my seatbelt, and i said no. He says, "Well son, normally I would cite you for it, but it saved your life this time so I'm not going to." Had i been wearing my belt I would have been pinned back to the seat, and that would have made the phone pole a permanent addition to my skull:(

Moral of the story...seatbelts = bad :P

Have pics somewhere if anyone's interested

Forgot to add my 240 accident to the last post :P

I had bought the car in late November of 2000, and 7 days after I bought it I was coming home from a club late at night, knowing it was cold and there could be ice, I was taking it easy and careful on our back country roads.

I was going 45 in a 55, not accelerating hard or anything, and as I was going to cross a bridge all of a sudden the back end just slid to the left. I tried to correct, and almost regained control...Then the front pitched back to the left, and slammed into the guardrail at a glancing blow that carromed me back into the right lane. I had one working headlight, the whole front was smashed to hell, and I felt lucky to be alive. I got the car to limp to my friend's house after I checked to make sure it wasn't dripping antifreeze or anything, and decided to crash there for the night.

About $5000 in damage if they used all brand new parts, but i loved the car, so i told the body shop to do whatever they could to keep her on the road. They fixed her up for about $3000 (insurance estimated the worth at about $3100, so i barely skirted under the radar for that one, managing to get away with a $250 deductible.

I have pics of this one too, but you all would probably cringe in horror if you saw them...nevertheless, if you want them I'll get 'em to ya

1. i bumped someone from behind at about 2mph.2. I lost control of my altima in the rain at about 12o and ended up kissing a concrete wall at about 1o5mph or so, that sucked
