Hey everyone,

Update! Clearance is tight but we're close to finalizing the design! Here's the current prototype for the V8. The bar itself cannot go higher without interfering with the hood closing and this is AS LOW as we can go without having everyone cut or remove their engine covers. The bar will contact and depress the cover's edges slightly. However, cutting the cover is totally optional and up to you. We will include small rubber spacers to protect the bar and engine cover for those who decide not to modify the cover.

The V6 block sits far lower, so we have a different bar design. No engine cover modification required either.



Here's a great example of how we recommend cutting, if you want to proceed with it.
Take a dremel and cut a tiny little rectangle. The cut locations on a Y50 are different, but the concept applies to Y51 V8 engine covers.

We're at 18 deposits paid. 18!! There is no doubt in my mind that we'll hit 20 by July 29th. Some small tweaks are being made to the prototype and we are very close to finalizing the design.
