Soon to be new G35 Owner

Hi Everyone

I'm a brand new member in Vancouver, Canada. We are in the process of importing a 2007 G35 Sedan from Colorado that we won an eBay auction on. Anybody out there from my neck of the woods ever done this before? Could use some help and advice. I understand that to make the car conform to Transport Canada regulations, I have to add Daytime Running Lights and convert the instrumentation from standard to metric, is this correct? I phoned three local dealers today, and they all told me that the metric conversion for the instrument panel is strictly optional. One dealer quoted me $600.00 for parts and labor on the Daytime Running Lights, while the other two dealers said they would not do the work, and referred me to Canadian Tire for this instead. Any words of wisdom out there? Also, would anyone know how the warranty works on the car if this work is not done at an authorized Infinitit dealership? I sure hope it doesn;t effect the warranty status at all. Could also use some advice on finding a car inspection company along with a car transporter to get the vehicle from Colorado to Vancouver

Nice to have another Canuck on board.

I personally have never imported a vehicle from the US so I can't speak from experience... someone here not too long ago did do this but I'm not sure how they made out.
