So I'm in Orlando for a business conference last week, and @ 5:00 am Cali time (8 am Eastern) my wife calls me and tells me that my pager alarm for my car is going off. Now I gave her my 9mm and 3 loaded 16-round clips before I left, but I told her NOT to go outside (when I'm away, the gun is just for home protection) Anyway I ask her to check the pager and see what zone has been triggered, and she says its the vibration alarm... that means someone either hit the car or tried to break the window, but neither the door nor the trunk has been triggered.
I told her to press the arm button, which triggers the panic attack function on the car, but NOT to go outside until it was light. (nothing in the car is worth her getting hurt over) She goes out into the hallway, and as she approaches the front door of the building, she sees a truck speed off. Anyway, when she goes out to the car after its light outside, she see that someone tried to break the window, but the tint held the window together and they didn't get in.
Anyway, I got a mobile company to come repair the window, and my local custom shop came and picked up my car, stripped all the metallic tint of the remaining windows and put 5% charcoal tint all around for free... now the car looks a bit different (better in my opinion) so I'll have pics up soon.. so guys and gals , here are the points to this story
1. if I'm home and you break into my car, my 9mm will keep you company until the police arrive!
2. Pager alarms are the SH*T...I HIGHLY recommend them for anyone that has a system in their car!
3. To all the potential thieves ... before you approach me or my car in an effort to car jack or steal, please see point number 1 above!
