CA is just such a tiny motor...it's hard for me to fathom it...how much hp is it capable of?

I remember a post showing a CA in Europe going at around 600bhp

I dont think even one small fraction of the people on this forum, much less in this thread will ever get a motor to the point where Cyl. Pressure is so High that they NEED a cast iron block or sleeving.

Oh well. The CA just sounds like a much better deal though. just for 1700, a whole 180sx front clip, a smaller and much simplier engine, as from what I've heard, and it fits further into the S13. Someone on NICO I remember saying he read an article that said they stopped putting CA's into the Silvia's b/c they were getting too expensive b/c they were so well built.

Damn...$1700? If all that you said has some truth, I'd like to know...

I know Nick's got a CA, maybe I'll have a talk with him about it...

I heard this place in GA named Jarco gives out CA front clips for 1700. I wish I had the experience to back up what I've said though.

Jarco doens't have CA's... they had like 3 in their whole existence as a business. you really can't find CA's anymore:( you might try JHOT in GA too, they get them from time to time. $1800 is the going price for a clip, $1400 for a motorset. Venus also has them, but the quality is hit or miss. Some people get great deals, some people get crap.

Oh and I have CA if you guys (or girl) missed that;) click the picture in my sig, or check out the CA forums. we're pretty friendly guys...

what he ment is +2 psi over the stock boost of the CA to make it = the stock HP output of a stock SR with stock boost

at least that is the way i read it.

or CA + stock SR turbo = stock SR hp. torque is still going to be lower, but the main reason in the HP differences between stock SR and stock CA is the craptastically small CA t25...

CA stock t25:

SR stock t25:

kinda hard to see the difference without them side by side, but the CA is tiny.

I would love a KA-T, but I'm thinking it would shorten the engine's life span.

you can find a ka laying around for like 200-500 bucks. try finding an sr for that much! KA-T all tha way baby!

KA-T is more tedious and you can't run as much booste on stock internals. Not saying it is a bad set up. Carlos and GR have very sweet KA-T setups. I am a fan of the CA though. Good solid Valve train and much less used and known. Sr is a good engine, parts redily available, but lacks that uniquness and sturdyness of the CA. Just my thoughts.

Torque is always good though. But yeah, if i had an s13, I wouldn't get an SR. It would either be KA-T or CA-T. I'm Chinese; I can't help being cheap.
