from what i have read/learned the motors are a simple swap. depending on what year the dohc motor is determines the simplicity of the swap. 91-94 are virtually plug and play. 95-98 will need a hybrid wiring <phase2motortrend.com> offers this service for $350 but you must send them the sohc and dohc harnesses unmolested. from what im not sure but if you have the ecu for the dohc of a 91-94 you might have to swap them as well. once again i haven't done this my self but do let me know how it goes because i am soon to install a 91 dohc w/ ecu and wiring harness my self.

If u use 91 to 94 u must also use dohc plug to ecu behind dash by the ecu. u can use 95 + motor but only w 93-94 harness besides that plug by the ecu its plug & play and u need to change the tach in cluster

Look for a thread titled "SWAP! KA24e to KA24DE"

If you don't find it there, look for topics I personally have started and look for it. I did a pretty thorough write up when I did the swap two summers ago. Its got everything you need from a parts list, wiring, step-by-step instructions, and trouble shooting.

Good luck, its not to hard, but give it a shot. You can always email me at [email protected] if you get a hiccup.
