Well after 3 weeks of waiting for parts shipped from 3 different states, trying parts, switching parts out that didn't work, splicing wires and My 1990 nissan came alive with the DE motor on the first try....i left the car on for like 10 seconds and reved the motor and was just fine, except i have an open header right now..no backfire or anything....i'm waiting for some parts to come in and i'm goin to make a custom exhaust, 2.5 inche all the way.

So this is what i used.....

-1990 nissan 240sx-95 KA24DE engine and transmission-95 Header (you old downpipe will not work so be prepared)-Custom Ram air Intake-used the old E lower harness-93 KA24DE Distributer (MUST USE 91-93)-93 KA24DE ECU (MUST USE 91-93)-91 Wiring harness (MUST USE 91-93)

I would imagine all you have to do as far as wiring goes is just swap the harness right?

Why is it that you have to change the distrubuter? I have a 93 KADE in mine, and I'm swapping to a 95 KADE... Do I have to Do any splicing of wires on the harness???

91-97 is the same distributor,so there is no need in splicing any wires

S13 and S14 have different distributors. Internal vs. External.

s13 has an external coil and the s14 has a coil built into the distributors

I was under the impression that you had to change the lower intake housing on the OBDII engine to do the swap into earlyer cars.

I guess not

You might need new gauges the old 89-90 RPM gauges don't work with the DE motors.

I already have the cluster gauge, so I should be fine... I just have to get the distributor out of my 93 engine and put it in there. Since we are talking about distributors, are there aftermarket distributors for the DE?
